4Chan users disgusted by man stepping on lettuce bins
I like to think of 4chan as that big stupid kid at school. The one no one messes with, but can avoid easily enough. Reddit is the kid who stays with 4chan and sticks his head out from behind him like "Yeah! don't fuck with us!"
Nah man, 4chans more like that super apathetic pyromaniac at the school that everyone avoids cause they smell funky and live in their mums basement.
They weren't disgusted by it, they just take every chance they get to make somebody feel like an idiot.
It's disgusting to know how some of these fast food chains run their shit.
Luckily, not all fast-food joints are this bad. Chick-fil-A is the best of them all when it comes to respecting the company and those who work there.
You don't have to advertise where you work on Facepunch, you know.
I mean, you're on my Facebook, man.
I know the camera/phone does it and it can be checked very easily, but it's more the fact that it exists in the first place.

Why? It's pretty useful in case you forget where you took a picture, or for automatically making a photo album based on gps position etc.

It's most popular for social networks, where they'll automatically tell everyone where the picture was taken for you
Yep, they're doing a damn good job respecting my right to marry someone I love.
But those chicken sandwiches are to die for.
fine then
Makes sense. I guess I'm putting security over convenience for no reason (and it can be turned off, so security isn't really an issue).
They weren't disgusted by it, they just take every chance they get to make somebody feel like an idiot.
Are you saying this person didn't know he was an idiot when he stood on trays of lettuce and took highly traceable photos of it?
Seems like a genius to me, he should get the Nobel Prize in food preparation.
The FBI should hire these guys. Fucking insane work right there.
you can pretty much right-click > properties to find the majority of the exif data on a photo hahah
I go to the mcdonalds right next to this burger king. Probably some shithead at the local high school who did it.
How did they track him down? I cant find anything in that picture to pin-point the location where the picture was taken
How did they track him down? I cant find anything in that picture to pin-point the location where the picture was taken
The photo apparently contained metadata that shows the GPS coordinates of the location of the taking of the picture
How did they track him down? I cant find anything in that picture to pin-point the location where the picture was taken
You get the EXIF data of the picture and that gives you the co-ordinates I believe.
How did they track him down? I cant find anything in that picture to pin-point the location where the picture was taken
dude it's right in the screenshot in the OP
">exif"
Apparently the box next to the guy's legs had a serial number that confirmed the location as well.
Maybe for the manager when he looked at the picture, but exif data is scary accurate when it comes to phones.
Sure they found the guy, but he wasn't even trying to hide himself. He had the goddamn GPS data for where the picture was taken attached to it. It was pretty much "look at GPS data, call local news media, mission accomplished."
Most people don't understand what exif data is
Hah, it made their local news

You just HAD to bring that into the mix.
Chick-Fil-A is still pretty damn good. Those fucking sandwiches man.
"My cabbages!"
and here comes reddit "oh good job 4chan! we will have to keep an eye on this new site 'www.4chan.org' !"
pompous assholes
They appreciate what 4chan did and they're pompous assholes? That's hilariously fucking generic and mindless bandwagoning you got there
Serves him right. Fucking pig.
Wasting food like that is already wrong, but when you make it sound like something funny, you're fucked in the head.
Isn't it an unwritten rule that you don't fuck with people's food unless it's absolutely required? I've always thought of it as the kitchen staff's nuclear option, talked about but never used.
Reminds me of when a 4chan user tried to cross over to Afghanistan to hunt down Osama Bin Laden.

Maybe it was just because I got it at a shopping mall, but I got a spicy chicken sandwich on there, and it didn't have shit on the one from Wendy's.
He didn't remove the exif data?
What a fucking idiot.

The first rule of posting pictures on 4Chan is, to not post on 4Chan. But if you absolutely must, and the picture is of you, remove the damn EXIF data.
Like normal people know what EXIF data is.
