Oh now a few snowflakes, better shut down everything.
It's almost like some places where snow doesn't fall at all aren't prepared for snow!
Down town springville Alabama reporting in. [Img_thumb]https://scontent-a-atl.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn2/l/t1/1546357_10200530412222375_1425862150_n.jpg[/img_thumb] [Img_thumb]https://fbcdn-photos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/t1/1926656_10200530411782364_761628985_n.jpg[/img_thumb]
I'm in NC still going pretty heavily where I'm at.
How peculiar. It snowed really hard here tonight as well, the amount of snow nearly doubled.
I've got a foot of snow outside easy. I'm gonna make a killing plowing driveways with my tractor :v:
Mother of dicks! Didn't work.
Just wanted to say as a southener here, all you people who say that you laugh when seeing people people who don't have snow go crazy over it need to shut up. Because frankly we aren't prepared for it. We aren't prepared for it because why waste money on salt and gravel trucks as well as winter gear for something you see once in a blue moon? Not to mention not many drivers have ANY experience with snow and ice, so it's quite dangerous too. We overreact and close schools over stuff like this because it's Far safer to do so than to wreck an entire bus of people or get in a road jam. Some people got stuck in their cars for over 8 hours because of snow and ice down here. And you know, EVERYONE slips on ice no matter how good of a driver you are. Except we don't have the anti-measures to help prevent that.

And don't worry, we get it all back when abnormal heat strikes in the summer, lacking AC's and other stuff like that.
And still nothing but a light barely noticeable frost on the grass here in Florida. Last time it "snowed" was, probably, about 7 years ago, when I was a freshman. And even then, the snow melted as soon as it hit the ground.
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/QC1ukeb.png[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/s3hhYjT.jpg[/img_thumb] here's Raleigh, NC today after the snow they got last night it's really just sad

I'm getting some friends and taking this opportunity to SLED IT UP

14 inches of snow here in southwest VA.
Muther fucker! Best I've gotten in Louisiana is some ice forming on the roads. My girlfriend in North Carolina already says she's gotten a foot of snow. Everyone gets to have fun except me! :suicide:

And here in Western Canada, we only had like one or two days of snow so far
well, we just had a minor storm here in miami, florida but thats basically it. Its still hot as balls here. I'll start worrying when the first drop of snow comes. Which it most likely won't seeing as we are basically next to the equator.
pssh we are the equator if it ever snows in my area in florida I'll shit my pants
Southern Maine reporting in. My noon community college class was cancelled right on the spot. It would probably be wise for me to finish my errands really soon, or I'll be snowed in really bad with nothing done.
Oh now a few snowflakes, better shut down everything.
My county has a population if 16k. We have only 2 sand trucks. One of them is in a ditch. Not to mention the fact Ice brought down several trees on my families property alone.
Central NH right here eh, no school cool hoping its cleared up by tomorrow morning, also i hope it doesn't collect on my power lines cause ill be pissed if i lose power
The real question here is how prepared is everyone? I know the South typically doesn't get any real accumulation of snow, but I'd also imagine a few of the citizens do use all seasons on their cars and should know that they should slow down in the bad weather. As far as houses tolerating the cold weather, they should also be insulated properly even to keep the cold in during the summer. I'm actually curious as to how you'll all take it, I figure it won't be too bad.
The cold isn't the issue, it's ice. I nearly got side swiped by a car while walking home from school once because a car hit a patch of black ice on the highway and completely spun, just out of no where. The car stayed on the road and I was on the sidewalk so I wasn't hit. Even walking by the spot I couldn't see the ice, the road looked dry as a bone, so the driver had no chance. Luckily there was a gap in the traffic in the oncoming lane thanks to the traffic light a bit further down the road and there was nothing to hit He spun the exact same way a car that gets PIT'd by the police would spin, that's how sudden it was
I want to get out once the roads are plowed again but my car is literally encased in ice.
Meanwhile us mid-easterners are going to get high 50s next week. Thank the fucking lord. I'm tired of this snow.
The only reason I find it funny is because my parents who lived in Northern Michigan moved to Louisiana for warmer weather, and now they're cold like me. And that Lafayette closes down every single bridge so they can't get anywhere
Oh now a few snowflakes, better shut down everything.
You don't drive do you
Not the southeast, but we're getting hit pretty hard up here in Connecticut. Estimated 8-12 inches by the time the storm ends tomorrow morning, with rain and sleet thrown in for good measure. Been a pretty decent year for snowfall; this is all coming down on top of the 8 inches that are already on the ground. Feel bad for you folks down south though; we're prepared for this kind of thing. Hell, come tomorrow people will be back to normal activity.

and still no snow in jacksonville, florida :[
Wow, a lot of snow, schools shut down, and we instantly pave through all of it in 12 hours. And everyone was stocking up so much too, as if we were gonna be stuck here for days.
