I thought the doctor from the original was a good actor. Creepy, at least. Reminded me a lot of Boris Karloff.
The first one was so ridiculous it was amazing. 'This guy's the world's greatest surgeon yet doesn't understand that people can't live on a diet of human shit.'
Actually, they interviewed the director and he stated that they said as long as the poop is not exposed to air, you can live off of it.
[editline]7th June 2011[/editline]
Implying they researched living on the poopoo
The first movie was a little gross, but nothing too crazy. I enjoyed the first one, and I hope the second one is good too.
Stuff like this shouldn't of been made in the first place.
It's their own fault for wasting their time on something so sick and disgusting. Like I care if they don't get any money from it.
It's a fucking movie no matter how disgusting it is, and in the end of the day the actors and crew who worked their asses off doing the "disturbing" scenes over and over again to get it right are going to get fucked over because of this bullshit.
Doing the scenes over and over again? I'd love to see a blooper reel.
Actually, they interviewed the director and he stated that they said as long as the poop is not exposed to air, you can live off of it.

Considering the fact that these guys still breathe, doesn't that sort of mean it DOES get exposed to air?
A serbian film still takes the cake for the most fucked up film ever made.
[editline]7th June 2011[/editline]
A newborn baby gets raped in it, enough said.
Yet it was classified by the BBFC and allowed to be shown in the UK so it can't be that fucked up.
Looks like the director not only wants to outperform himself, but he wants to dethrone "A Serbian Film" as _The_ most disturbing horror movie ever...
"The film then focuses on his fantasies and the torture he inflicts. One scene involves him wrapping barbed wire around his penis and raping the woman at the end of the centipede, having become aroused by the sight of his victims being forced to defecate into each others' mouths."
What the FU-
Lol, it's not that bad compared to the "Top 50 most disturbing films" in the "Films and Television" section.
That movie was nothing compared to what i have seen on LOLshock.com (SHOCK SITE WARNING)
It needs to be banned for the greater good.
Yeah well... real life will always be WAY more fucked up than fiction.
[editline]7th June 2011[/editline]
I should know--I used to lurk shock sites for like, 3-4 years straight and it's impossible to unsee some of the shit I've ran into.
It's going to be awful trash. I don't know why you'd want to watch it even if it was cut.

How 'bout instead of talking trash about it, just don't watch it?
Just reading the plot in the OP, and I for one say: "Good!"
Seriously, what sort of demented mind thinks this would have made a good film to go and see? I mean, there's horror movies but this is just filth. No way can this be considered entertainment.

Yeah, those damn sickos watching horror movies should be all locked up
[editline]7th June 2011[/editline]
How dare they enjoy something I don't!

Whether or not the majority considers something "filth" shouldn't be a deciding factor in determining what can exist and what can't when it comes to something as harmless as motion pictures.
Besides, this can be entertainment. The underlying theme of most horror movies is either exploration of dark ideas and thoughts or experiments with things that scare people, which alone is pretty interesting. What is true horror in physical form? What is the most horrifying/repulsive thing/concept imaginable? To what extremes can you push emotional response to something as simple as a movie? What dark thoughts/ideas pushes your emotional buttons the most personally? These are all interesting questions.
I don't like it, good riddance it's banned
Oh you guys
I saw the first one and it wasn't that bad in my opinion. It usually takes a lot to disturb me.
But the fucking descriptions themselves for the sequel are fucked.
The first one was the most hilarious experience I've had at the cinema. I wanted to go see the sequel for a laugh :saddowns:

There are horror films and then there are things which should not be put to film and are not designed for entertaining people.

okay then don't watch it
There are horror films and then there are things which should not be put to film and are not designed for entertaining people.
It sounds entertaining to me
The first one was quite amazing. It was kinda hilariously gross.
Banning media for such reasons is really stupid. But it happens quite often, with games especially.
Who are you to deem what is good or bad for me? Fuck off and let me decide.
To be honest, I don't think this was set out as an attempt to ban it. More of an attempt to stop it being shown in normal cinemas, but the UK system of classifying things is so backwards its made it illegal to sell in the UK.
I am interested in knowing the real reason for them refusing to classify it, there really are very few films that they have rejected classification of, most are overturned with tiny cuts years later. The only ones that remain banned are films that no one has attempted to release again.
The ones that remain banned even with attempted re-releases appear to all involve rape and/or Nazi's.
Surely if this is just a film about someone attempting to recreate the first film it would be no worse than the first film and be perfectly ok.
Edit:
"It is the Board’s conclusion that the explicit presentation of the central character’s obsessive sexually violent fantasies is in breach of its Classification Guidelines and poses a real, as opposed to a fanciful, risk that harm is likely to be caused to potential viewers."
Is this suggesting that they think the film is too real?
Surely the BBFC could just slap an R18 rating on it and claim its a porno and get on with it.
Well, the BBFC managed to butcher "A Serbian Film" into a rather watchable movie... this one, however, didn't even pass the test...
That's one thing they've got over ASF, so this probably means something... it must be really, _Really_ fucking shocking :v:
[editline]8th June 2011[/editline]
This one is going to be the REAL DEAL

From what I have read apparently the BBFC were notified that this film would possibly be in breech of the obscene publications act (whereas ASF is not).
Anyway if you read what they cut out of ASF its just the bits involving babies.
Which if true suggests that this isn't really the BBFC censoring the film and its more just getting to the inevitable.

Replace "film" and "movie" in your post with "videogame", and you'll see why this shouldn't be restricted. Regardless of how disgusting it is, it's fictional and it's not harmful to anyone.
