'It's time': Edward Snowden just issued a cryptic message on Twitter

I can't believe he'd be willing to come back to the US to go through a fucking trial.
What the fuck? He exposed massive corruption and the corrupt american government wants his head. And he's just willing to give it to them? They will never let him off the hook for this.
He shouldn't even be brought to trial. He should be testifying against the NSA, and the NSA should be on trial.

If he suddenly disappeared or died, then people will assume that the government assassinated him.
They could have done it at any possible moment, but nope.
He's probably gonna slip in the shower doing air guitar to Free Bird or something and bash his head open, and everyone will just assume the government did it.

Assuming he's given a fair trial with a jury, it'd be completely out of the governments hands. They're the perpetual bad guy in this story.
This is his final step in his recovery process. Apologizing to every person who he has ever spoken with, on secure channels.

and btw, if Swoden was killed we wouldn't know because he'd be replaced.

This is at least a little comforting.
Though I would be very concerned that the judge would be an American government appointed judge and ultimately side with the state.
I just think its sad that in this day and age an American Citizen who has had to live in exile from his homeland has to plead for a fair trial because no one can trust the government enough to not be a corrupted piece of shit.
He might as well stay in Russia. It's probably only marginally more corrupt, and they probably view him as a hero.

This'll be good.
I'll die laughing if someone working with him just happened to come across his computer and is fucking with everyone each time Snowden goes to eat lunch or something

Little did everyone know, I, wint @dril have access to Snowden's computer...
Oh please let this be about the Clinton Foundation, please~
He's gonna announce that he will be cameoing in the Oliver Stone movie.
Oh please let this be about the Clinton Foundation, please~
More like Trump if anything, his twitter has him in good graces with Clinton because he wants to go home
seems to be PGP encryption key
Strong PGP keys are much longer and are usually encoded in Base64, not hexadecimal.
Ah yes, denouncing Wikileaks for releasing the DNC corruption papers on twitter will surely give him pardon!
I don't think he'll release anything on Trump since he's in Russia meanwhile Putin and Trump just so happen to be best buddies. He wants to go home not get spirited away by Putin' boys.

Forget the motivations, how or why would Snowden have dirt on the Clinton Foundation?
Its unlikely he has anything about the current political race.
This is probably about the nsa or something

Actually he is getting increasingly concerned about the DNC hacks, and is actually thinking it is Russia.

or you could just go to an archive of it
Even if that happened, I wouldn't be surprised if he mysteriously "disappeared" afterwards.
To what end though? The damage is done. Shouldn't an assassination of a high profile public figure have, like, a purpose?

Yeah it looks like a Checksum so...
Forget the motivations, how or why would Snowden have dirt on the Clinton Foundation?
He is in Russia, correct? What's to say the Russian government, who actively supports Trump, doesn't put a few files in his hands and says, "have fun comrade" and lets him go berserk with the files.

I'd see the incentive as making a statement for the rest: "Don't be this guy, or you will never be safe again."

Oh god please don't say this. Some crazy cocksucker from BLM or something would kidnap and kill him to stir up shit between the government and the citizens
I'd see the incentive as making a statement for the rest: "Don't be this guy, or you will never be safe again."
That only really works if the government officially announces it as an assassination though. If the guy just goes missing or has a death that looks accidental or natural, then the warning is lost because there's nothing to indicate that he was intentionally killed for his role in the leaks. If the message you're trying to send is, "don't do what he did, or this will be you," then there will need to be indisputable evidence that the reason he died was because of what he did, else you haven't accomplished anything by killing him.

Eh, not really. If he mysteriously goes missing, everyone will know the government did it, without the government having to admit they did it.
