I never said anything about communism. You're missing the point that Hong Kong is currently the freest economy in the world and one of the fastest advancing areas. Look at that skyline man.
Socialist cities are beautiful Fuck, Belorussian cities are gorgeous.
I never said anything about communism. You're missing the point that Hong Kong is currently the freest economy in the world and one of the fastest advancing areas. Look at that skyline man.
Hong Kong has a horrible wealth inequality, the worst in Asia.
I never said anything about communism. You're missing the point that Hong Kong is currently the freest economy in the world and one of the fastest advancing areas. Look at that skyline man.
Yeah, the only people that are advancing are ones that have money and influence. Look at the people it fucks over, it's borderline indentured servitude.
The exception does not prove the rule. China is a shit hole. One nice city does not a nice country make.
Stop missing the point. China is a shit hole yes. But Hong Kong does not abide by most of China's rules! Hong Kong is a world class area because of their openness to the free market.

I don't feel that that is "world class".

Hong Kong is a world class area because of their openness to the free market.
Must be nice living in your own little fantasy world. First of all, Hong Kong is a shit hole too. Saying a bunch of corporate buildings being 'beautiful' and people are prosperous, whom you fail to realise are only the rich ones, is an absolutely childish statement. here's another example of a free market city: Dubai. Dubai has a high poverty line, a huge portion of poor people and was built off slave labour. Oh but it looks pretty and corporations and rich people are enjoying it, so that means it's good, right?
First of all, Hong Kong is a shit hole too. Saying a bunch of corporate buildings being 'beautiful' and people are prosperous, whom you fail to realise are only the rich ones, is an absolutely childish statement.
Hong Kong ranks among the top 10 countries across the world for GDP per capita. Keep going man.
Hong Kong ranks among the top 10 countries across the world for GDP per capita. Keep going man.
So did the city that Bill Gates happened to be living in at the time, I bet...
so what's the penalty for violating the individual mandate anyhow

Hong Kong ranks among the top 10 countries across the world for GDP per capita. Keep going man.
Highest. Wealth. Inequality. Do you get what that means? do you get how poor the poor people are? How hard their lives are? There's a small but powerful rich, and a large middle class and a huge lower class. That's not success for fucks sakes, having slums hidden amongst that skylines base is not what I'd call impressive.
Hong Kong ranks among the top 10 countries across the world for GDP per capita. Keep going man.
I recommended you check your sources. It's 16th.
Hong Kong ranks among the top 10 countries across the world for GDP per capita. Keep going man.
It has a high GDP per capita because there are tons of poor people and then a bunch of really rich people and companies that bolster the average
It has a high GDP per capita because there are tons of poor people and then a bunch of really rich people and companies that bolster the average
I guess we should specifically ask for the median. The household median of hongkong is 23877.19$. In Canada we make around 3 times that, after our supposed massive taxes.
I recommended you check your sources. It's 16th.
CIA World Factbook.
Hong Kong ranks among the top 10 countries across the world for GDP per capita. Keep going man.
MATH TIME KIDDIES! OUR LESSON TODAY IS AVERAGING! If you take 1 person with 1 million yuan, and 9 people with 10,000 yuan, and average them together, you get 110,000 yuan per capita. And that's how you understand how GDP doesn't reflect economic inequality!
I guess we should specifically ask for the median.
$31,000 only $2000 below South Korea. Are we through? [editline]4th March 2011[/editline]
And that's how you understand how GDP doesn't reflect economic inequality!
Look above my good sir.
$31,000 only $2000 below South Korea. Are we through?
That's a low median for what you call one of the most prosperous places on earth It's almost as if there are tons of poor people or something
That's a low median for what you call one of the most prosperous places on earth It's almost as if there are tons of poor people or something
OH, I GOT IT, it's 4 poor people = 1 real person? Is that it?
Hong Kong ranks among the top 10 countries across the world for GDP per capita. Keep going man.
So is Norway and Luxembourg, socialist countries. And let me make this clear, GDP has abso-fucking-lutly nothing to do with wealth distribution or the quality of life. It's a wealthy country? Doesn't mean shit in the distribution of wealth. A country that crushes poor people will still have a high GDP, you pissant. "the value of all final goods and services produced within a nation in a given year divided by the average (or mid-year) population for the same year."
That's a low median for what you call one of the most prosperous places on earth It's almost as if there are tons of poor people or something
I would consider $30k annual really low for the area you've showed. It'd be like making $30k and living in Hollywood or Manhattan, it's not gonna work too great.
That's a low median for what you call one of the most prosperous places on earth.
When did I ever say this? When compared to the rest of China it's a haven. According to this source it isn't much of a low median at all.
$31,000 only $2000 below South Korea. Are we through?
That's a low fucking medium.
CIA World Factbook.
My sources say differently.
According to this source it isn't much of a low median at all.
Is that why it's at the bottom of the chart
That's a low fucking medium.
It doesn't lag much behind what I consider prosperous countries.
According to this source it isn't much of a low median at all.
How exactly is "Median household income" calculated? I sure hope it isn't literally "household," what with the extremely poor not having any physical address.
Is that why it's at the bottom of the chart
That chart just represents a few countries to show examples. Are you really this clueless? Where do you think the Congo would fall on this chart?
It doesn't lag much behind what I consider prosperous countries.
What you consider prosperous doesn't really matter to me, seeing as you're a lunatic. And for the record, the slight number increase, is actually extremely significant on a personalised basis. You wouldn't realise this.
