Thought I had already posted here, but I hadn't. But yeah, the idea of Zionsm is no more a crime against humanity than other aggressive forms of nationalism, it's the method with which these ideas have been put into practice that makes the practice much more questionable. Even then, Palestine wasn't even at the top of the list on possible locations for Israel back when this all started. Both groups have tenuous claims to the land, at best. And no, saying that you were established there over a thousand years ago is not a proper claim to the land anymore than my family has claims to lands in Ireland because my ancestors lived there. Even if you did have a legitimate argument for the land, the way you went about settling the land was bound to start conflict.

It's suicide for a politician to say anything anti-Zionist over here in the USA. Unfortunately, the 80% of America that are Christians somehow want to identify with Israel (they're supposed to be God's chosen people) so every US politician is radically pro-Israel no matter what. It's fucking sad.
