How long they have been there does not even mean anything. If there are still Maghreb muslism in France after that long then that means that they did not assimilate.

Also get off your high horse, I am aware of the history of France fuckwit.
The fuck is up with this assimilation bullshit ? You live in a country that was made by immigrants (at the cost of the life of the natives, no less), you should know better than this.
Hell, France is a country that was forged using every single other culture around. Our language itself was created by intellectuals who found Latin outdated and basically made their own thing using latin and arabic among other languages. Because of our geographical location we have a culture that has elements from every surrounding countries, including those on the other side of the sea.
You're going to actually have the balls to tell me people to come to our country need to assimilate when borrowing from their culture is what we've been doing for hundreds of years ? The only reason this is even an issue is because insecure shitheads like those at the FN liked it better when they could just be racist assholes and have any minority be their scapegoat for anything.

You're right for the latin part, but then again, most western / southern european language has roots in both latin and ancient greek. Northern / Eastern finding its roots in anglo-saxon (germanic) language.
Arabic had nothing to do with our language aside from a few words and terms due to travellers and merchants' contact over the centuries (but that was still a recent history, that can be related to any other surrounding country's language, not just arabic). I don't see how you can claim arabic had a take on the birth of the French language since it has been there long before it became an administrative and official language (approx 1500 A.C), and therefore long before contacts with north Africa and what we now call the middle-east were strong.
Now define what you're calling culture, since what I know of French culture has little significative influence from North Africa. If what you were intending was that we now have strong ties with Morroco, Algeria and Tunisia due to colonial history, then yes, you're right.

Any kind of people coming to a country has to assimilate if you don't want a growth in communautarism and consequences of communautarism such has insecurity, leading in the long term to tourism drops, one of our main source of money since we have been killing or selling our industry for 30 years now.
"Insecure shitheads like those at the FN", that sentence's funny in its way, because you sound just like an insecure shithead right now. There may be racist assholes at the FN (just like anywhere else btw), but categorizing all of them (millions of people) as such makes you look stupider than you are. Especially since now the main reason for the FN vote is the lack of proper Right-Wing party defending Right-Wing ideologies such as souverainism and patriotism. If the UMP stopped screwing around with the Modem (and stopped frauds / power abuse) by being European Federalists, then the FN wouldn't be growing that much.
I don't know who you're voting for, nor do I care, but please come back on the FN issue when you've read programs and really got yourself interested in it (without bias). Repeating what the main media outlets and others parties have to say about it doesn't count as knowledge. Apply what you're preaching, I've read the programs from the FdG, NPA, LO, PS, Modem, UDI (back when it wasn't mixed, haven't read new one if there's any), UMP (and all of its movements), FN, DLR, UPR and Troisième Voie (that last one was really only for giggle what whatever).
When you're ready to discuss a bit further than "bunch of racists with no ideology", hit me up I'll be glad to debate it with you in private.
