The government also has the authority to use drones to find and kill anyone that they deem "suspicious" and evolved with terrorism. Basically without any actual proof that said person is in fact, a terrorist. you know the reason why this kind of sensationalism doesnt work?
because nobody is damn daft enough to start firing missiles around to chase someone, nor are they going to explode anyone they THINK is a terrorist.
First human target of drones on US soil. We better hope that the people operating those drones are more competent than the ones who shot up two trucks and nearly killed 3 innocent people already.
What are they gonna do, bonk him on the head until he's unconscious?
Are using drones really any different than putting a helicopter up there? I mean yea they can have a lot more drones than helicopters and crews, but they're still out there to accomplish the same thing. It's not like the LAPD is going to be shooting hellfire missiles at Nissan Titan look-alikes from predator UAVs.
Chocolate Rambo sounds like a badass title.
I prefer "Fudge Dredd"

I'd imagine a drone is a much more covert way of tracking him, rather than a helicopter that can be seen and heard by the suspect before the chopper can get a fix.
Also diverts more manpower on to the ground rather than in the air.
Does nobody else think drones are a terrible idea? We're losing privacy. I feel like a ton of people will just start shooting these things down.
I don't have a problem of it if it's just visual, but audio/anything closer than what a stranger would see if you were walking on the street would be too much. And ofcourse in house monitoring would cause massive uproar, but as far as I know drones aren't capable of that, luckily. Only problem with this (as of right now) I can see is maybe someone getting caught in their backyard or something.
I prefer "Fudge Dredd"
The Dark Knight
or Blackman
...wait
all of these are silly anyway

I'd rather have people patrol the streets rather than drones

drones don't have families (and are often several thousand feet away from any criminals with guns)
Since they're just camera drones and nothing else, I feel like 'first human target' is a bit of a sensationalist way of putting it. Target makes it sound like they're gonna be Hellfire'ing his ass.

Yeah, Article mentions infared camera's on the drones but i didn't see anything about shooting him from one.
On a side note, the article is also a nice small summary of the dorner story in a whole.
Do you actually seriously think that they are going to fire hellfires (a think really designed to destroy Russian tanks, not people hiding in buildings but I guess it works just as well) on US soil? Do you want some tin foil to make your hat with?
you guys just assumed that I implied they were going to launch hellfires on innocent people, I was referring to the possibility of an incompetent drone operator causing more mayhem by misidentifying chocolate Rambo and then sending a squad of trigger happy cops to that location with the same shoot to kill intentions the LAPD demonstrated earlier.
Could anyone be kind enough and update me on the whole thing? I haven't really been following this story
I read an article about drone pilots, spying on people in Afghanistan. As the drone circles overhead, they can see EVERYTHING. Over there, since it's so hot and they don't have air conditioning, sometimes the people chill out on the roof of their home, one thing leads to another and they start having sex up there. Meanwhile, a drone is circling and some pilot in Nevada is getting a free show.
I bet here the US it's only a matter of time before drone pilots have the homes of all the hot chicks mapped out, and what days of the week they have sex. Some drone commander will be telling his pilot "Son, you sure do seem to have a hard on for surveillance in that neighborhood..." while the pilot snickers "It's where the bad girls...uh, I mean bad people are sir!"

Drone operators don't identify the targets despite popular belief.
Intel Operators, Imagery Analysts, Targeteers, and a few others do that. All of which specialize in establishing PID before any action is taken.
I am against drones because they always seem to do more harm than good, we started with only video drones overseas and now we have killed hundreds of innocent civilians and have targeted American civilians overseas without trial or any check and balance system as well. Plus if I remember correctly a lot of drone operators suffer from PTSD because they have to go from killing people to a regular life at home in the states everyday and the stress is too much.
A lot of people are against drones due to what the media reports on. The media hardly reports on successful operations of drones unless the matter is unclassified.

Guys, they're not going to find him.

If he hasn't already, he is going to kill himself.
Chocolate Rambo? Black Bane.
Reminds me of Raoul Moat for some reason

Well I suppose that's one way to interpret it, personally I just think he's expecting the LAPD or someone else to kill him.

In my opinion, he's either dead or several states away laughing his ass off.
Chocolate Rambo sounds like a badass title.
sounds like the next title of a Blaxploitation film
Chocolate rambo is immune to drones
