I support the civil wars in libya and syria just wish they would hurry it up
I'm all for democracy in foreign countries. However,
They need to keep it to the bedroom.
Edit, Let me expand by posing a question, Who officially declares war on unarmed civilians?
And for that reason, i say STFU to the middle east.
they need civil wars to topple the civvie-killing psychos currently in power, that's understandable
what I don't get is why nobody wants to help or why they've all been so timid about it
like "well okay, I guess gaddafi is kind of a mean guy, how about we send you some inspirational messages for emotional support?"
I suppose, developed war machines such as nato feel as though if they intrude into someone elses fight, they will eventually piss off 3rd party(maybe russia, who knows) And everyone agrees that is an issue worth side stepping.
One fight that i really have no clue as to why no intervention is Israel vs. Palestine
Like, that thousand year war would be all but over if nato picked a side and invaded. LOL
Of course that isn't very logical but a feeling none the less.
Gee golly, I hope the Syrians win.
I hope there's another surgical bombing run with a lame-ass name.
Can this wait Syria? I'm out of popcorn

Look at the bright side, people will die for freedom! :v:
another civil war in the middle east?
I have a feeling this isn't going to be as pretty as Libya. People are going to be really divided on this one, since the US had normal-ish relations with Syria before, unlike Gaddafi.
It is will not be pretty based on the fact that the Syrian army has a lot more equipment than the Libyian army. UN intervention would be costly to say the least....

What's with Egypt? The military has seized control of the country and isn't relinquishing its power. Prop it right back up with Syria and Yemen, please.
Also theres almost no chance that the west will do anything to Syria except the usual petty sanctions to make it look like they give a damn.
China will take over the fucked up countries.

Shit, that's a lot of hardware.
Shit, that's a lot of hardware.
yeah depends on how loyal his generals are though, if the majority defect then it'll be quick revolution. But it's never that easy, doubt his generals are disloyal.

The election is scheduled for this November, that was agreed upon from the beginning. I know people want to make it out to be just going back to dictatorship, but that's not the case.
I wonder if he will flatten a entire town again like he did with Hama... killing 20,000+ people in the process.
God i wish we iraqis had enough guts to protest and fight against saddam... Things would be so much different :(
i wanna live back there again :( it was rather peaceful and nice before the war

Sweet God, interveining in Syria would be a mess.
Look. I don't care if you think war is good or not. Declaring war on those in your country who want to have a democracy is not a good thing. At all.
Even if they managed to get into power to think they would install a democracy is laughable.
It's all the fault of the west.
If they weren't that great, this shit wouldn't happen.
Oh well, it's not like The Netherlands has more than 6 million immigrants or something.
But on the bright side, after all these wars, it should be pretty empty there!
Anyone want to buy some plots of land? Very cheap, the only catch is the constant wars.
No idea what to say?
Here we go again?
Man, I was just hoping for some silence from down there now. Get the attention back at Japan and the other fucked places..
This is pretty significant in the scope of world history. Having 5+ states rebel against dictators within the span of a year is amazing. The death toll from this will be bigger than Japan and the effect will be far more interesting.
I don't see any way for either side to win. Neither of them are going to give up it seems.
I don't see any way for either side to win. Neither of them are going to give up it seems.
Depends on what happens. The really important thing is to break the will of the opposing side to fight, once that happens a war is over very quickly.

Bashar Assad, they're coming for your blood like they're doing with Gadaffi.

Hopefully they will wipe themselves out.
They only cost money. Look at oil, if the west would have the monopoly on it, it wouldn't be this expansive.

That's what you say when you are 300 miles away from the war.
Its about time we clean of that side of the world.
About time we start ignoring that part of the world. Let it be a free for all and have them figure out the disputes on their own.
Why do we always have to force democracy on countries that need none of that. It would only delays the core problem further.
