The Lib Dems entire campaign this time has pro EU and so if they go into a coalition with the Conservatives, which have pretty much been entirely anti EU, I honestly think they would just cease to exist as a party in the next election
They've pledged to not join a coalition this time iirc
Update: The Conservatives pulled a Daily Mail attack yesterday, Apparently Corbyn has "Admitted" to seeing TERRORISTS (IRA)
Update: The Conservatives pulled a Daily Mail attack yesterday, Apparently Corbyn has "Admitted" to seeing TERRORISTS (IRA)
'Admitted to seeing terrorists' meaning giving a platform to Sinn Fein for negotiation. Seems the media has exhausted all avenues of defamation with Corbyn and is now drilling the terrorist sympathiser line home. Lets hope the Corbyn train keeps rolling, I'm already astonished at what he's acheived in the face of such adversity and rabid smearing.
That worries me a little. Remember what the fucking lib dems did last time? Perhaps they would be smart enough to see it as a chance at redemption in the eyes of voters?. After all, anyone who would be happy they if they sided with the Tories is already going to be voting Tory.
to be fair, they were in a coalition with the tories. Talk about a mismatch.
Update on the last part, Narrative has been switched again that Corbyn was seeing PALISTINIAN Terrorists
They've pledged to not join a coalition this time iirc
It would be sad if the tories got defacto rule because Labour and Lib dems couldn't work something out. I can't see them just accepting tory rule for another 5 years instead of working with each other. Maybe a Labour and SNP coalition could work?
to be fair, they were in a coalition with the tories. Talk about a mismatch.
It's not so much that I'm worried they would pull the same shit if they formed a coalition with Labour, it's more that I'm worried they would abandon all reason and form another one with the sodding Tories. Granted it's a very small worry, but you can understand the lack of trust for the lib dems, especially among younger people like me.

It's funny how before the last month or so, everyone was calling for Corbyn to step down, and now he actually has a chance to demonstrate leadership qualities he's back on the Christmas card list.
christ, there's no way to describe that beyond "skullfuck".
Here we go... EDIT: Holy shit. Paxo has lost his touch. Corbyn all but walked that.
Here we go... EDIT: Holy shit. Paxo has lost his touch. Corbyn all but walked that.
Can't watch, C4 just says programme unavailable. How's it going? Any verdict yet?
Can't watch, C4 just says programme unavailable. How's it going? Any verdict yet?
May starting now. Corbyn held himself well. He has come a long way in how he performs in front of an audience. Came up against a chap who was upset that his children wouldn't be given zero hours contracts under Labour. While Paxman had some shit questions and hypotheticals which JC wasn't afraid to throw back as "unanswerable." For example: "you have been told someone in Syria is planning an attack, you have 20 minutes to kill them with a drone strike. Do you do it?" JC said he would have to see the evidence at the time before making the call. Obviously Paxman wasn't having it. May just got stumped by cutting police numbers.
I may not agree with @jeremycorbyn but he came across as being totally sincere. Paxman didn't score any goals .
Jesus.

If the guy asking the questions isn't going to be real about it and give you a good question or a reasonable scenario to frame said question, why the hell should you be expected to answer it? It just adds fuel to the "politicians are slimy cunts" fire if you do answer it and your answer is some wishy washy vague nonsense.
Jesus.
Wow, that's impressive Also, whatever this Q&A thing I've just jumped in is a load of crap. Shit questions she can easily dodge, where's the real issues?
Audience is turning. Audience is turning. Did that man just mouth "bollocks?"
he did "just bollocks"
"So the answer is... you don't know." "The cameramen are laughing." The mockups are coming.
She never seems to answer a question straight up.
The brave soul who gave a standing ovation to the prospect of us leaving the EU being totally fucked. Give that man a medal.
that was like the ben swain interview but in real life
Just managed to catch up on the Q&A, he really smashed it. Now for the Paxman interview.
I felt like May didn't really say anything. I'm none the wiser as to what she actually wants for the country.
Personal highlights are Corbyn inadvertently flipping the bird at the end of one of his questions and Paxman calling May 'a blowhard who collapses at the first sign of gunfire'.
A Tory/Lib Dem coalition is still better than pure Tory.
I'm sick of these being the available choices
so is it over? who do you all think won?
so is it over? who do you all think won?
Jeremy Corbyn by a landslide, and I can say that without bias. Theresa May's interviews were a car crash.
