I used Lego to propose to my girlfriend
Imagine a life-size lego car that works that would be amazing
And then people ruin it by saying "LEGOs" It's specifically not LEGOs
I don't get the crucial difference it makes, though
See, its because Lego makes Ferrari stuff. If Ferrari made Lego stuff, this wouldn't be an issue.
Yeah, you want to know what helped cause it? They seemed awesome at the time, but I'm the minority from the looks of it.
Imagine a life-size lego car that works that would be amazing
What if I told you they've already done that?

Oh shit, I remember Galidor! I wanted that giant blue sphere teleporter thingy for the longest time but I never ended up getting it. I also enjoyed mashing those with my bionicle's n lego that I had here and there. Last I remember, the remnants of those Galidor figures were I believe donated away with my lego so a bunch of little kids are probably wondering what the hell those are :v:
I don't get the crucial difference it makes, though
It's hard to strike down people for copyright infringement if your copyright claim is even slightly fuzzy or loose and especially so if you're not aggressive in protecting it. Additionally, LEGO may not have the copyright for LEGOS, so if somebody were to sell similar bricks under the name then they could probably get quite a bit of cash from it and there's not much that LEGO could do about it since the patent on the bricks themselves has expired.
It only gets worse. [t]http://images.brickset.com/sets/images/4044-1.jpg?200310250427[/t]
So this where this thing came from. I know its torso is mixed with the random toys box since I never knew how or where I go it. Or even what it was until today. Glad I solved this old childhood mystery.
I'll be honest, I had completely forgotten about Galidor until I did a little bit of Googling, and realized I owned the entire line at one point.

Thanks for reminding me of what they were called after 13 years of me not knowing since I was only 4 at the time and they were the shit to four-year-old me.

I think I still have all the bionicle comics from the bohrok era
I will defend galidor to the death it had the BEST game on the lego website yo
Galidor Quest? That was so good
Galidor Quest? That was so good
thanks for reminding me of the name, I found a link to a reupload of it http://biomediaproject.com/bmp/files/LEGO/gms/online/Galidor/GalidorQuest/DSWMEDIA/index.html
As Ferraris
entire budget spent on building a single ferrari for the production all the set and cameras have ferrari logos sowed into them for maximum effect

I can't find it but Nintendo did something similar back in the 80s/90s. asking retailers to put up signs saying to refer to Nintendo products by what they are (the Nintendo Entertainment System) rather than just "a Nintendo" as Nintendo was not a verb or adjective, but a noun describing the company only, in order to protect their brand from the govt.

It didn't have a figure of Jack Stone in it, it had someone else from the line-up. That reminds me, why did they get rid of Jack Stone?!
Jack stone was the shit. Those modular airplanes were so cool and easy to build shit with.
I don't get the crucial difference it makes, though
Kleenex. Basically if you refer to stuff as lego bricks or lego construction blocks etc you're maintaining a difference between Xyz construction blocks and lego ones. If you use legos you run into a risk of generelising to the point where any construction blocks end up as legos.
