Seriously??? Why the hell did ABC break away from this to cover an economic report, and who the hell thought this was a good time to release such a report?
Business as usual, Joe will rush it because nobody is going to care but ABC had it scheduled so it must go on
Police commissioner is a really good speaker
The NSW police commissioner is really great. He's great at handling the media and not falling victim to emotionally phrased questioning. He's factual and to the point . A great representative.
Seriously??? Why the hell did ABC break away from this to cover an economic report, and who the hell thought this was a good time to release such a report?
The government did. They decided to press ahead with our national budget report to show that it was business as usual. The ABC is bound to cover government policy as they are federally funded. Switch to Channel 7.
What is going on with the ABC 24 stream. Some video lock error now it's completely a silent view of a street.
BBC reporting that witnesses have reported gunfire not confirmed though
It turns out the flag is NOT an ISIS flag. It reads: "There is no god but Allah. Mohammad is the messenger of God." It's the Shahadah flag. It's THIS flag without the sword.
Why do people translate it as Allah opposed to just God Christians and Jews who use arabic say Allah when praying, because it literally means the Abrahamic big-G God.
Also good on channel 7 for not showing any advertisements during this event whereas 9 has been
They just ran an adbreak but its the first in about 2 hours, so its okay
BBC reporting that witnesses have reported gunfire not confirmed though
No report on Aus news channels, ignore completely. Most international news stations are probably going to be reporting false information here and there.
it baffles me that the same inane argument over the same inane subject with the same inane talking points can continue over and over and over again, every week on this forum, for what has to have been years, now.

What is going on with the ABC 24 stream. Some video lock error now it's completely a silent view of a street.
They're trying to cover both at the same time
03:09: Uber Sydney tweets: "We are all concerned with events in CBD. Fares have increased to encourage more drivers to come online & pick up passengers in the area." The response from other twitter users has not been positive with one of the more polite tweets describing it as a "PR nightmare".
I am kind of at a loss for words here..
They just ran an adbreak but its the first in about 2 hours, so its okay
About to say that, but it's good to see them hold back for so long
They're trying to cover both at the same time
Just noticed this on the mirror but this is what I was seeing on it's site: [t]http://i.imgur.com/WGc9IxO.png[/t]
I am kind of at a loss for words here..
That's a bit of a dick move
I am kind of at a loss for words here..
Probably well intended, but backfired.
some crazy fucks have people hostages and you'd rather have a point in what you believe in is a bad religion or better guns laws or what is the correct word to call this
Bad reading, I never said anything about religion or guns...
fuck this guy who was taken hostage before is saying they should jump him
It's not, though. It is, by definition, a siege.
Agree to disagree then, your definition of a siege is much broader than mine.
what a bad idea
Why is this cunt on 7 encouraging people to rush the armed man [editline]15th December 2014[/editline]
Just noticed this on the mirror but this is what I was seeing on it's site: [t]http://i.imgur.com/WGc9IxO.png[/t]
Just wait, ABC is nearly done with the budget coverage so while you wait you just get the still image of martin place
Why is this cunt on 7 encouraging people to rush the armed man
I remember this guy and he got taken hostage a while ago by al-qaeda or something but surely he should know better than 'lets just jump him' [editline]15th December 2014[/editline] 7 is running regular adbreaks again now things have slowed down and I imagine the reporters need a bit of a break.

Shit yo, I'm watching on Sky News and I haven't got any idea about this rushing thing
Bad reading, I never said anything about religion or guns...
maybe you should read and quote the entire post and notice I was talking about every retard that keeps bringing all those 3 arguments up
Agree to disagree then, your definition of a siege is much broader than mine.
stop
BBC have some pictures up: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-30474275
maybe you should read and quote the entire post and notice I was talking about every retard that keeps bringing all those 3 arguments up
Show me where I talked about religion or gun politics?
Valid tactic if it's just the one hostage taker.
Noone wants to be responsible for the death of another person which is fair enough so lets just nip that idea in the bud. Hostage negotiations are very effective here and it should be ok
I remember this guy and he got taken hostage a while ago by al-qaeda or something but surely he should know better than 'lets just jump him' [editline]15th December 2014[/editline] 7 is running regular adbreaks again now things have slowed down and I imagine the reporters need a bit of a break.
Well nothing is happening so ads will be more frequent
Fuck sake, Sky News is so late.
