Nah I blame the parents.

I blame the parents of video gamers against gun ownership.
Now that the media have a hard on for explosions my microwave is gonna get some funny ideas and explode.
If everybody had a fertilizer plant, this never would have happened.

Definitely can see why they said it looks like a warzone, it's like the surface of Metro 2033 during that night raid.
Just wait until obongo bans high capacity manure

Cormac McCarthy should sue, I think real life is ripping off The Road.
I think we should confiscate all flower pots just to be safe. Who NEEDS flowers anyway?
Holy shit, how did they lose all those fire fighters?
Holy shit, how did they lose all those fire fighters?
They were probably trying to control the fire so an explosion wouldn't happen, but they weren't able to.
I think what's most depressing about this is between the timing of this in relation to past events and how close it is to what happened monday, people are gonna be screaming that this is another illuminati/FBI plot.
this week sucks
Alot of people underestimate the power of fertilizer. It's like the go-to product when someone makes a bomb for whatever reason. When a whole plant explodes, that must have been some kind of nuke.

Is it dark in those pictures because the smoke is blocking out the sun?
The Dad and the Kid in that video with the kid going "I can't hear" are both okay, according to NBC5DFW, just heard it on my local news.

someone told me that huge explosions like nukes and that can suck up light or some shit temporarily which is why all those vids of nukes like tsar bomba the sky is dark red. dunno if thats entirely true though
Man shit hit the fan :v

Everything else just looks dark because the explosion is so light in comparison, your Pupils get smaller so compensate so everything goes darker. Same happens with a camera, F/stop will go higher to adjust the light level and everything else ends up looking darker.

It's a combination of the smoke everywhere and the fact that those pictures were taken in the early morning.
This thing is like a millionth the size of the Tsar Bomba, that wouldn't happen.
These pictures were taken several hours after the explosion. Your pupils flip right back to normal vision pretty quickly, a camera's f-stop doesn't get stuck like that after witnessing an explosion. It's just smoke and early morning light.

Haha what.
Its called camera exposure.
If anything they create two pulses of bright light as the air literally ignites.

Whenever I see these videos, I wish they didn't pull away. But then I wonder if i would be able to hold a camera straight in this situation.
Wow this is nuts, I hope this is getting lots of media coverage.
It's sad this isn't getting as much attention as the Boston bombings, this is fucking tragic.
Toll just jumped to 35.
10 first responders.

no way. An explosion of that size, you'd need a tripod bolted to the ground to keep a straight shot. Both guys probably soiled their pants in the process. I wouldn't be filming carefully either if I was that scared shitless.
This one week has just been a barrage of shitty news.
so i dont understand why youd build a nursing home and a school, and so many homes, next to a fertilizer plant if shit can get this bad?
and why "west, texas" is in the east?
3 explosions in 3 days. I feel the media is paying attention to common accidents due to boston for more viewers.
a fertilizer factory explosion that kills 70 people is not a common accident
whats weird is this isn't getting that much coverage when compared to boston.
Boston looks like a cake walk compared to do this
But Boston is a much more sensationalist story, while this is a more "shit happens" type story.
