so instead of 1164.1 billion dollars, we'll give them 1164.1 billion yuan
Actually, 1164.1 billion dollars is the equivalent of 7.65009726 trillion Chinese yuan.

And therefor, we profit.
China is not going to appreciate the fact that one day America will be forced to default on that growing $1.7 trillion dollar debt loan.
1.7 lol more like 13 trillion
1.7 lol more like 13 trillion
US gets loans from more countries than just China.
Welcome to the last 60 years.
Oh wait, why did the first Global Depression happen? What about the fact our economy has major up and downs compared to any other nation?

You're forgetting Hong Kong and Taiwan.
What are we supposed to with yuans? Use them as asswipes?
if this ups the price of products coming from china, would that not push companies to buy from other countries?
I know nothing about economy but, that doesn't seem like something really intelligent to do.
Wow ok good luck.
"Hey China, I just wanted to say on behalf of all the United States....
No"
Oh wait, why did the first Global Depression happen? What about the fact our economy has major up and downs compared to any other nation?
The Great Depression happened due to speculation. Idiots who had no idea about economics took out loans to buy stocks and ended up sending share prices spiralling massively out of proportion to the value of the company. An irresponsible (but correct) economic theorist pointed out that this was unsustainable so those same idiots rushed to sell as quickly as possible, resulting in a crash.
China pls go
Only in China folks
why use juan he doesnt even have a job
Everything will go to shit when every nation in the world realises they don't have any money left.
They should call for abolishment of the fractional reserve banking system instead
Well, to be fair, china's got the second largest economy in the world now.
No thanks, Yuan is worthless
Yuan is worthless in place of dollars. Just try to buy some rock on the streets of Los Angeles with some yuan, they'll laugh at you(right after they jack you for your yuan, just in case that shit's worth something in Chinatown).
Hey, as long as they're waging war over coins rather than bombs, I'll sleep safely at night.
I JINX'D IT FUCK.
I'd rather them fight with bombs. My quality of life wouldn't dip nearly as much with a few explosions than it would if the economy is shitty.
What are we supposed to with yuans? Use them as asswipes?
Use them in puns...
Like "It takes yuan to know yuan"

of course they'll laugh at you for using a different currency
the US could do with a little less economic power, this could have some positive effect :P
Yeah they've never been oppressed or fought a rebellion. They've never had terrible leaders or human rights violations. They've never been persecuted by their own government. They don't deserve jack shit.
Funny. Last guy who tried to pay for oil with non US currency got fucked...
No thanks, Yuan is worthless
The Yuan is worthless because that it gives China a great trade advantage. They intentionally depreciate their currency.
No thanks, Yuan is worthless
Just like what the US dollar is becoming. Worthless.
[editline]5th March 2011[/editline]
I'd prefer to currently have investments tied up in yuan rather than the US dollar.
This is retarded, if anything, the dollar should be universal.
Yeah since its from America and everything from America should be universal :downs:
