Should your child play Habbo Hotel? Channel 4 discovers paedophiles
70 replies, posted
i remember back when i was a youngling me and my mate played this and just done those furniture game scams and then sold the furniture for irl money to losers at school
If your child plays Habbo, he/she is having virtual chat sex in skin colored clothing, visiting dating rooms and strip clubs, and swimming in AIDS infested water.
i honestly don't think this is fair. "pedophiles" and "inappropriate" behaviors have been going on ever since the dawn of Habbo. Because a mediocre, slow news company decides to make a article on how a few people in the game can purposely act a predator, the game needs to be treated like the whole "GTA should stop selling now!! it makes people kill!!1" situation with Fox. so the WHOLE community needs to suffer?
i wouldn't be surprised after this whole shit storm moves, Habbo will try to be more regulated and "child friendly" which will be an absolute nightmare to some people. even though I barely play the game nowadays, and the game is boring and can sometimes be stupid, it doesn't really deserve what its getting.
But how do they know that the supposed "Pedophiles" weren't just horny teenagers?
exactly my point.
But how do they know that the supposed "Pedophiles" weren't just horny teenagers?
Because obviously the 15 year old children aren't horny ever
they just want to chat about playgrounds
I remember when I was like 10 I did the dance thing facing a girl and said "We are having Habbo sex". Now I learn some creep was getting off on it.

I love when mainstream news outlets come onto the internet with seemingly zero prior knowledge and genuinely get shocked over the findings.
What do you expect when you turn off the mature filter and go into the rooms titled ~sExY~ and such.
I think the same thing happens on Gaia, too. Knew some guy who only went there for the possible tits.

I remember my Gaia days so long ago... I thought I was some sort of vigilante running around and stopping people trying to cyber in the towns thing they had.
This is not at all surprising, it happens a lot sadly. The parents might want to exercise some control over what their kids do on the internet.

So I was a pedophile when I played it back when it was less shitty as fuck? I was 12 back then and said those idiotic things to 'harass' and annoy people.
This is not the act of pedophiles, it's the act of children of the same age having a ball by annoying others. And honestly, I don't think 'cn w tak on mns' is a pedophile trying to lure

When I was like 11 and on the website I used to ask girls how big their boobs were
According to the BBC, they've now disabled the chat functions following this report, which now makes the game a bit pointless?

A NEW WEBSITE NAMED 4CHAIN IS IT SAFE FOR KIDS? MORE AT 11.
I also hate how News people assume that just because a game has cartoon graphics, it's built for a child. This game is obviously for 14-15 years olds.
