This was probably my favorite skit, even though they used a different song in the version they aired.

Sam has always said he really doesn't care a ton about politics. He just likes fucking with people.
This is one of the biggest dissapointments of 2016.
World Peace was top tier televisio

if thats the case then it's still good. i'm glad his 15 year old-like trolling got his show cancelled
i agree that sam hyde is not funny at all, the ted talk was trash.
I absolutely thought it was hilarious.
I also loved how it poked fun at the 90% of Ted Talks that are complete garbage
alternatively I hope MDE goes hard on [as] in a video now or something.
And that Buzzfeed article is a joke, claiming that Hyde was in black face in the scene with the girlfriend when he at most has a fake tan on and there's some strange lighting.
Even if it wasn't blackface, it was pretty obvious he was at least using black stereotypes. Blackface isn't the right word to use for it, but it's basically the same idea.

People like you are why Sam does what he does.
ever since sams "privileged white male" video talk thing where he talks about how homosexuality is a mental disorder or something, ive kept a very low opinion of him. whether or not it was really his opinion or he was just "trolling" the audience I don't care, he's seems shitty to me.
still the reasons for the show being cancelled seem like a bit of a reach. not saying I'll miss it but whatever

Yeah this is really the thing that gets me about MDE isn't even so much that the humor is tasteless, it's that it all feels like it's through the lense of somebodyour who never grew out of their "I'm 17 and everyone's fucking stupid!!!" phase and the skits messages are either vague or are possibly even just fucked-up. The pharmaceutical cocktail skit was funny, the game show skit that seems to say women shouldn't bother getting into a relationship past 28 (?) isn't funny.

I'm pretty sure this guy made fun of alt-righters just as much as the left.

The wall was hilarious.
"IS THAT WHAT THE QUEEN WOULD DO"
and the successful man rejects all of them because they live in a bubble and don't realize anything about self worth.
I honestly only like Sam for his silly cellphone videos.

You REALLY didn't get that skit then

World Peace was actually really subtle with a pretty big amount of social commentary.
It's almost post-modern, in a way.
I still think it's weird people don't know Sam Hyde is unabashedly alt-right, like do any of you actually watch his stand up, verticals, see him hanging out with Weev, and think "Oh well it's all a ruse!" I'm completely fine with him being alt-right because it's what makes him so funny, but it's weird to see people now trying to politicize him for their own means.
It's pretty bullshit that people have to force Sam Hyde's comedy into any category. To me, I've always viewed his humor as a simple matter of taking viewpoints to the extreme and pushing everybody to their breaking point. Sam Hyde, in my opinion, satirizes pretty much everyone. I mean, how can people deny the fact that he's always got a super heavy conspiratorial conservative theme going with a lot of his characters? Can't we just look at the guy and say he makes fun of everyone? Isn't he self-deprecating as well? Not to some people. It's just "alt-right" comedy. It's in the "other" category.
And on top of that, what bothers me is that people are trying to force some meaning they came up with onto something I think should be left for interpretation. I'm not going to say that Sam Hyde is some artistic genius, but I think he's mixing comedy with art meant for personal reflection. I haven't watched his videos and felt like the guy is preaching to me, it's just that someone is being perverse with Hyde's work. They're trying to tell everyone what he means. They're ruining the act and they're trying to assassinate his character.
It's like me trying to say David Lynch's message with Eraserhead was that females have assumed power over men, and therefore David Lynch was a misogynist. That's stupid. I would view that as an attempt to degrade the art as well as a claim for authority that isn't deserved. I don't know what Lynch meant. I know what it makes me feel, and it's the same situation with Sam Hyde.
Sam Hyde just posted an article detailing what went down, and is actually coming off serious in tone even.

Sounds like simply more asshattery and refusal to see the other side from both sides, frankly.
Well I called it. It was always about hyde being a trump supporter.
i'm a liberal and i think MDE world peace was one of the greatest pieces of television in modern history. why do people find it so difficult to find people with opposing views funny? jokes about how republicans are dumb aren't funny anymore

The entertainment industry has a very strong liberal bias (which is interesting because in the very early days it was the complete opposite), to the point where peoples careers have been killed by coming out (lol) in support of republicans et al
I dont think its anything to do with the particular choice of politics, but rather the kind of people the industry attracts and the nature of it (nepotism and managerialism are very much in practice) produces a very petty and incestuous bubble, where you learn early to toe the line and not rock the boat too much.
FWIW, this is also why celebrities act so shocked and righteously outraged when they come face to face with an opposing view (for example, the ben affleck v maher debacle). The live in a bubble where their views are rarely challenged and when they are, they respond first in shock, and then in spite.
I think MDE is unfunny as fuck but wheres this neo nazi and alt right shit coming from
Pretty clear it's just GG Allin style humor to fuck with everyone

Pretty clear alt right connection check out hydewars; but they all have their ideas as individuals. I think it's true they are comedy through harshness, and being safe left leaning liberalistic isn't harsh. Its super soft core.
Isn't there a Facepuncher who does the music? Hope they find other work.
Say what you will about Sam and MDE, but this had me laughing until my chest hurt.

His reaction was crazy, but then again you should see some of Tim's tweets over various feuds hes had. Just like T&E MDE's comedy is a hit or miss.

HEY YOU LOOK PRETTY GOOD
I don't know I love weird alternative humor but this show hasn't made me laugh once. Every joke seems so try-hard to me.
I'm really conflicted because I enjoy sam hydes comedy but the dudes a scumbag.
You can say "nah it's all an act", but abusing ex girlfriends (some of which were under 18) and manipulating them to cut his name in their wrists is pretty fucked.

From a cursory google search all that I get in that neck of the woods is an anonymous tumblr post

There's some pictures floating around, a few with him posing with an underage girl that was his gf at the time according to him, one of him shirtless next to a girl bleeding from the mouth, a now deleted post on the MDE facebook account with a girl that has "sam hyde" cut in to her wrist, after a facebook chat of him allegedly telling a girl to do it for forgiveness.
You could say it's his "bit" but at a point you have to wonder why any network in the world would want to associate somebody that has his twitter and facebook posts, as well as his insane, abusive fans
