Wait, so by buying pre-owned games I'm actively killing those awful linear blockbuster shooters that are hopelessly boring because they're trying to emulate a non-interactive medium?
Be right back, going on a shopping spree.
No its for any and all developers who sell games at a retail store. Also less likely to effect games with online passes.
Just to confirm to the billion people complaining, you can actually turn off the Kinect in the options.
You have to actively turn it off every time.
Also the complaints are not only about it always being on, it's required, even if I don't want to use a single Kinect feature or play a single Kinect game. They could easily meet PS4's price point if it weren't for that.
"Xbox sucks because their DRM policies... what they changed it?... still sucks" sounds logical
Well it's still $100 more, has less exclusives, and Xbox Live is atrocious compared to PSN.

The Xbox One has fourteen exclusives so far, the PS4 only has nine.

Well let me just ask, what are they?
i would buy a PS4..... if i had the money and hadnt spent it on a $499 oscilliscope....
I hate how people are yelling hypocrite for people who aren't going to buy into the xbone now. I'm really happy to see that they went back a fixed the problems- that's a great thing, competition in the industry is important. But keep in mind you're still gonna be paying $100 more for a console with a REQUIRED kinect peripheral, worse specs, a worse premium online plan, less interesting exclusives (especially considering a number of their "console" exclusives are on PC), and made by a company that has already shows they're not afraid to dick over their consumers.
Just because Microsoft did something good doesn't mean they've won me over.

Below, Crimson Dragon, Dead Rising 3, Some Disney Channel BS, D4, Forza 5, Halo Something, Killer Instinct, Kinect Sports, Powerstar Golf, Quantum Break, Ryse, Sunset Overdrive are the One exclusives.
Then there are the MS exclusives: Alien Rage, Fantasia Music, Lococycle, Minecraft, Project Spark, Titanfall and Zoo Tycoon.
Also, people are telling me Xbone will have Backwards Compatibility now? I've heard it won't so it sounds like bullshit. Somebody want to clarify.

It really doesn't have worse specs, the consoles will preform identically. The launch exclusives are way better in my opinion.
Kinect can only add to the expirence of games since devopers know everyone has it they will be more inclined to implement features. Xbox live is by far superior to PSN and just because you started paying for it doesn't magically make it better.
Countless times sony has done the same thing it seems like everyone has forgotten OtherOS and how they will sue anyone that stands against them.

a lot of the xbox ones aren't very interesting though
and a lot of the ps4 ones are on the pc already
o well sony has great developers though like naughtydog~<3
i'm getting a PS4 because the last of us and gta 5 are the only games i'm interested in playing so far
and it's safe to assume the last of us will have a ps4 release

Doubtful.

Why?
I want to hear your reasons.

I admire your stubbornness, but you only keep it alive with giving yourself false hope and lying to yourself.

I wish it had backwards compatibility. At this point, the only supported backwards compatibility on the One is to use the Xbox 360 and run it through the HDMI in port.

Well, you won't be able to play The Last of Us on PS4, unless you count Gaika (which I believe will only be available in the US by 2014).
What I'd like to know is who at microsoft said "Lets make a device that only works when it's connected to the internet despite being an offline device" that guy or team deserves a SLAP .
Too late if you ask me. They have already ruined the Xbox One. If they had this from the start then things would've been different. But now.. after all this time that people have been mocking it. It is just way too late.
A part of me wishes that they never fixed it. :v:
Same, would've been fun to see that trainwreck of a release.
Things like console announcements and E3 are always just to test out the audience. It's not that they listened, they always had this as a backup plan, and they're likely to milk the 'we listened' thing.
Sure, when PS4 went exactly in the opposite direction as Xbox they surely werent milking our needs, but when Microsoft admits there mistakes and turn the boat around it must be milking.

They changed architecures with the Xbox One, so it's not possible unless they sink millions into developing a software emulator.

Xbox never had any good exclusives to begin with.
