And this is why science is awesome. Amazing 1 peace of technology advanced burn treatment so much.
ya i agree, very good step towards technology, lots of improvements coming these days
It's pretty awesome looking at how far medical science has gone from just a few years ago. I wonder what things will look like a decade from now.
Y'know, this has some interesting applications to it. Here's a fact or two: Considering the fact that it uses his own stem cells, the chances of his body rejecting the skin and attacking it using antigens are absolutely NIL. Why is that important? Because if you wanted to implant a chip, or an electronic matrix, or anything along those lines, you simply remove a piece of skin, place the apparatus, and spray!
Put some coloring in there and you can spray graffiti into your new skin!
The spray just helps the skin regrow. It doesn't replace/substitute your skin. You can see that the spray was a dark purple, yet his skin looked normal.
This is amazing!
Dayum Mr. Gerlach. You got some awesome hair.

If science could remake senses, so if you are a pirate or a deaf guy or something, you can get your sight/hearing back. That would be so cool
The most incredible thing I've seen this week. This could really help a load of people with some of the most painful conditions you can have.
You know what would be really cool? If science could remake senses, so if you are a pirate or a deaf guy or something, you can get your sight/hearing back. That would be so cool
They have made hearing devices for the deaf.

Thanks National Geographic.
They have made hearing devices for the deaf.
Well actually there's been incredible strides with stem cell research with complete organ reconstruction. Some of the blind have been able to completely reclaim their sight just from their stored stem cells.
Soon after this is out, someone will make a version that makes your skin blue so people can turn themselves into Avatars. I just know it.
This is pretty old news, because i have seen this in Discovery science about a half a year ago. It's awesome
Transhumanism: Its not as crazy as it sounds.
This isn't transhumanism, it's healing. It'd be transhumanism if they had spray-on titanium skin.
Absolutely amazing.
That's amazing fucking :science: what'll they think of next?
Then maybe I can get my dick back, bless science.
Put some coloring in there and you can spray graffiti into your new skin!
Or you could put chloroplasts in and never have to eat again!

I wonder how long it take for them to extract enough stem cells for this to work. It's amazing what totipotent cells can do though.
Fuck youtube.
At long last, my dream to become b I mean, this looks like a useful invention that will change people's lives.
