holy fuck the shit of egypt hit the fan fast
im sorry but anyone who pushes a fucking truck full of people off a bridge deserves whatever is coming to them
That second picture combined with that third picture is fucking sickening what a bunch of cold, heartless bastards
how the hell did they push an armored truck off a bridge in the first place?
You'd think the police in the vehicle would take their chances on the bridge rather than face a larger mob down below.
how the hell did they push an armored truck off a bridge in the first place?
Vehicles aren't that hard to tip over if you have enough people, which I'm sure a big mob has.
how the hell did they push an armored truck off a bridge in the first place?
You would of thought they would drive off. Maybe the police didn't want to run over anyone, but still..
Pushing someone off a bridge is one thing, but to strip and drag off the wounded people inside... This is just fucking barbaric. [editline]16th August 2013[/editline] Barbaric doesn't do this justice actually.
More times than not, it's never okay for police to use lethal force to suppress a riot or something similar, but in this case I don't blame their police for shooting to kill. This is fucking brutal, civil war is imminent.
Such savage violence is happening in Egypt and it's not even to the point of civil war yet. I can only imagine the atrocities that await an actual conflict. [editline]15th August 2013[/editline] Probably will make Syria look like a paradise.
Probably will make Syria look like a paradise.
What makes you say this? Because if I remember, the Egyptian army isn't using tanks and planes against the protesters yet.
People are animals.
I'm confused why people here are calling this brutal. If they had just blown it up like any other war, is that not less? This is practically a war, or revolution, or however you want to put it. Stripping the "enemy" of his vest isn't any more inhumane, it's just taking resources, like any person in war does. I'm not sure what I'm missing, because if they had simply shot all the cops and stripped the corpses of useful items, then no one here would be shocked and appalled, because that's just a thing that happens in war. This isn't a war crime or event anything absolutely shockingly terrible compared to the regular goings ons in this sort of situation.
Damn... Holy shit. This may be a dumb question, but how did one officer land on the bottom on the truck? You see him in the second picture.
People are animals.
We're the real monsters.
This is totally not an excuse, but to be fair, you have to look at this in context. Those people probably just came from watching their fellow protesters get shot down by snipers for the "crime" of protesting when the military removed the government that they fairly elected. There isn't much mercy in that crowd for the police. Is it just me, or has the Arab Spring been co-opted into an armed conflict between totalitarian governments and Islamic forces that want to establish their own totalitarian theocracies? It's unbelievably sad.
Anyone else notice the near miss missile at :20?

The police were the ones who acted to oppose the protesters then just they are now.
I'm seriously reminded of the photos of Mogadishu after Operation Gothic Serpent.
Anyone else notice the near miss missile at :20?
Not a missile. A gas grenade. Maybe tear gas, maybe smoke.
There was already a thread on this, you're late.
I dunno whether the red stuff in the photos is actually blood or just red ceramic, though considering the current chaos I wouldn't be surprised if it were the former. Admonished yes, but not surprised.
no
6th of October is my birthday. :c I'm not trying to draw attention to myself, but it somehow makes me sadder about the whole thing, like I'm afraid I'm going to remember this atrocity on my birthday.
get a grip

How exactly does someone simply push a heavy truck off...
People are fucking idiots for supporting Morsi.
Holy fuck I saw the picture of it falling off the bridge but assumed the car was empty
