It does make for some very easy to believe theories since no one can be sure exactly what happened in the bunker, if the eye witnesses are lying, or if hitler was ever in the bunker in the first place.
Still this is hitler we are talking about. he controlled everything he touched. So in the end it would have been his decision to die or flee and would have the means to act on which ever he chooses.
All we have as evidence is tales from people who were there.
In mythbusters fashion, i'd chalk this one up to 'plausible but not probable.'
Well the Russians lost his remains during the numerous times they relocated them. The remains they last claimed his were proven to be a woman's.
IIRC, they have hitler's skull fragments in a moscow archive.
IIRC, they have hitler's skull fragments in a moscow archive.
Supposedly.
They don't allow scientists to inspect the fragments or do dna tests.
I recall seeing a documentary where a team of scientists were only allowed a few ours to collect data, but where not allowed to disturb the remains.
This sort of stuff makes it hard to decide who to believe. Whether the russians are keeping it hush hush because they know it isn't really hitler's remains, or if it is, and they are just paranoid about people tampering with the remains.
It's one of those things that look so much like they could be a conspiracy, but have been confirmed otherwise for so long.
I really want this book.
It could be true, a shitload of nazi officers went to hide in South America.
And then Magneto killed them all.
how CGI is the picture in OP really? can't believe anyone thinks its real.

that's an actual picture of Hitler and his dog blondi. According to legend he tested his cyanide pills on her the day before he and Eva killed themselves.
During the course of April 29, 1945, Hitler learned of the death of his ally Benito Mussolini who had been executed by Italian partisans. This along with the fact the Soviet Army was closing in on his location, led Hitler to strengthen his resolve not to allow himself or his wife to be captured. That afternoon, Hitler expressed doubts about the cyanide capsules he had received through Heinrich Himmler's SS. To verify the capsules' potency, Hitler ordered Dr. Werner Haase to test them on his dog Blondi, and the dog died as a result. Hitler became completely inconsolable.
According to a report commissioned by Joseph Stalin and based on eye witness accounts, Hitler's dog-handler, Feldwebel Fritz Tornow, took Blondi's pups and shot them in the garden of the bunker complex on April 30, after Hitler and Eva Braun committed suicide. He also killed Eva Braun's two dogs, Frau Gerda Christian's dogs and his own dachshund. Tornow was later captured by the Allies. Hitler's nurse, Erna Flegel, said in 2005 that Blondi's death had affected the people in the bunker more than Eva Braun's suicide. After the battle in Berlin ended, the remains of Hitler, Braun, and two dogs (thought to be Blondi and her offspring Wolf) were discovered in a shell crater by a unit of SMERSH, the Soviet counter-intelligence agency. The dog (thought to be Blondi) was exhumed and photographed by the Soviets.

A book claims that he did. That is all.
Except, at least according to this article, the book's authors have dug up some interesting evidence that could point the the contrary.
Especially after the supposed skull fragment was found to not even belong to a male, I myself began to wonder.

you got the Antichrist on there lol

What the hell else did he expect to happen?
you got the Antichrist on there lol
No man, the US president is Lenin
Well he's dead now, so I guess it doesn't matter. Pretty interesting though.
No man, the US president is Lenin
Uh, what?
There is no surmountable amount of evidence for either side of this argument. I think it is plausible that Hitler could have escaped Germany and fled to Argentina, like many of the war criminals did.
Hitler and JFK incidents are two conspiracies that I like to not totally fucking scoff off.
I was unaware that there was no forensic evidence of his death. It could have been anyone in that bunker?
they recently discovered that the skull found in the bunker was female, probably from his wife or a mistress
[editline]18th October 2011[/editline]
It's interesting because it could be true. I doubt it though.
If that's what happened, then who did they find in the bunker?
And why did the Russians take the remains, hid it and end up disposing it?
this is the soviet union we're talking about

And they would have won the war too, if they had remembered to put oxygen in the helmet!
Fuck I told them we needed to hide him better
It's funny because I'm currently reading Mien Kampf.
It's less wacky than I hoped it would be...
Ah yes, the old Hitler in Argentina theory. Haven't really seen enough evidence of the Fuhrer in South America to believe this, although didn't the Nazis have holdings in South America before the war?
You might be mistaking this theory, for the much older one of Goebbels or a few of Hitler's top fleeing there. Never heard about Hitler going himself though.

*Mein Kampf :v:
Wow, this is quite an interesting topic. Not sure if I should chalk this up as another conspiracy, or if this is legit.
My old Holocaust & Genocide class teacher was this Jewish guy named Mr. Kampf so we always used to call him Mein Kampf.
This thread just reminded me.
Ah yes, Mien Kampf.
