they know that that's highly disrespectful right? so uh u guys think they'd show it if it were a white guy and not a jordanian?
honestly that's good, they prefaced it with a warning and had the courage to display the atrocities being committed by an insane group of fundamentalists in all honesty, it's something that brings us closer to these events, and should serve to make us more cognizant of them
Not when said group is using the footage as outright propaganda.
wow cool fox news your so edgy by showing isis propaganda sure am glad Isis recorded that as propaganda and a big threat to scare people everywhere so conservatives can shit their pants
A man burning alive would make anyone shit their pants
essentially what fp is saying is that im encouraged to show drawings of muhammad but i cant show a real event that has real impact despite several warnings like what the fuck is wrong with people these days
The problem with this is that there is a wee difference between a drawing of a deity and actually murdering someone for real
The problem with this is that there is a wee difference between a drawing of a deity and actually murdering someone for real
you're missing the point entirely, when someone airs this footage it's with the intent of showing people how fucked it is, not to promote their message. By this logic, showing footage of 9/11 is wrong too because it propagandizes
it's with the intent of showing people how fucked it is
Fox isn't doing this to show it to people, they're doing it to boost their edginess ratings.
I'm pretty sure the video got banned from liveleak, I can't find it anywhere else.
LiveLeak decided that they didn't want in on the ISIS decapitations. I guess the same would apply to burning people.
LiveLeak decided that they didn't want in on the ISIS decapitations. I guess the same would apply to burning people.
That moment when Liveleak wont post the vid but Fox News does, what a world we live in now.
"Let's show ISIS propaganda to our viewers to increase our ratings"
Why would showing something people don't want to see increase ratings? It's not like you couldn't find the photos somewhere else it you really did want to see it.
If you really cared about the horror taking place in Syria and Iraq there are way better ways to go about it than promoting ISIS propaganda. What they did to that Jordanian is fucking terrible but it's a fraction of the misery taking place in the region.
So Fox News is helping the ISIS recruiting by airing the video without even subtitles. I mean the purpose of terrorism is to create terror, if you don't publicize it (same thing goes for mass shootings) you have less risk of people wanting to join them or engage in copy-cat behavior.
the amount of Muslim hate this is going to cause is going to be outrageous. I also wouldn't be surprised if we saw a huge spike in the recruitment of America's military.
Full video is really sad and disturbing, don't watch it.
no news agency decides to do something that emotionally motivated for a ratings boost jesus can we get over the circlejerk for this one story
fundamental misunderstanding of the history of journalism. i know that people have very divisive opinions on whether or not it is morally correct to air a story on the premise of how profitable it is, but regardless of that opinion it truly is why news sources do, and have, aired specific stories since the very conception of mass distribution news. mass public news has, since the advent of the printing press, been designed to be as marketable as possible to the public for consumption. news is a business. any news organization that is not run by the state has one major driving force behind it: money. some news sources have adopted ethical standards for what they will and will not distribute, but if you're getting to the core of what journalism is, it's money. this is the closest that fox news has ever gotten to being an actual news source in that way. instead of attempting to appeal to a political demographic, they're appealing to everyone with good old fashioned gore, a time honored news tradition.
No fucking joke. They're going to be in deep shit from the FCC, no matter how many warnings are slapped on.
FCC has no control over the content of cable/satellite television. Really common misconception.
Do you even watch Fox news? Their "agenda" post-Paris has been separating Muslims from extremists. You don't even know what the fuck you are talking about.
I like how some of you guys are calling them "Islamophobic" for showing a still photos of a Muslim man being brutally murdered by extremist savages. They definitely portrayed the Muslim man in a sympathetic light too, which would be a strange thing for an "Islamophobic" company to do.

I've got a bridge that needs a buyer, interested?
I think people should be able to watch these things if they chose to, but I don't think putting it on a main stream media site is a good idea at all. They are doing ISIS' job for them by spreading propaganda. Heck supporters of ISIS on twitter are linking to the Fox site praising that its on a US media site so it cannot be taken down..
"to bring you the reality of Islamic terrorism."
Yes, gotta fuel that anti-Muslim hatred. Thanks Fox news. Fuckers.
I even remember some of you saying that ISIS executions are never gonna be in mainstream news outlet so no one will care, now they do and you guys are complaining.
Yes, gotta fuel that anti-Muslim hatred. Thanks Fox news. Fuckers.
Yea fuck fox news!!1!! How dare they make the muslims look bad by showing the country what ISIL did to a POW!!!!! They're just misunderstood! /sarcasm They're trying to make sure people don't forget how terrible ISIL is. Hop off the bandwagon.
Yes, gotta fuel that anti-Muslim hatred. Thanks Fox news. Fuckers.
ISIS =/= The rest of the Muslims in the world.
ISIS =/= The rest of the Muslims in the world.
I'm not the one using choice phrasing to equate the two. Read the article.
Considering even 75% of FP is ready to rip and tear ISIS guts just from reading news articles, I don't think Fox needs to show a guy burning to death to get thier viewers sufficiently angry.
They're trying to make sure people don't forget how terrible ISIL is. Hop off the bandwagon.
People don't need reminding that IS are complete fucks. That's common knowledge now. Showing the video is an emotional ploy to help further enrage those proud white Christians who watch Fox News, and to ensure that the myths of "Islamification" and most Muslims being psychos continues to perpetuate. You don't show propaganda from a terrorist organisation such as this unless you're trying to trigger an emotional response. A POW being burned alive isn't "must see" footage that will make you understand how big a threat the terrorists performing the execution are, but it does work damn well at making you hate them and dehumanise them even more.
no news agency decides to do something that emotionally motivated for a ratings boost
that's a pretty naive statement
I'm pretty sure the video got banned from liveleak, I can't find it anywhere else.
Check the liveleak comments, they usually post an external mirror in the articles.
death to america!
No it fucking won't are you stupid? This is absolute bullshit it's fucking Fox news for fucks sake they're doing it to get an extreme reaction from people and make everyone pissed off against Muslims for their own fucking pathetic agenda and this proves they will do anything to achieve that, it's fucking disgusting. You really think the avarage Fox news viewer is going to think "We really need to tackle this crisis of terrorism" ? No! they're going to think "fuck Muslims kill them all!"
I guess I'm just stupid. I think it's important for people to see that there's stuff out there that makes starving African children look like heaven by comparison. Our countries have had it too good for so long that everyone's forgotten
