From playing on the 360 with my friends, I can say that matchmaking is a lot of bullshit. 6/10 games drop me out of my party of friends, separate my friends from me, or just give us a damn laggy game. It's not so bad when you just play on your own, but with others in a party it's complete wank. gg iw

Nothing beats the Host Rage quitting half the time, or the host leaving right when you call in a Predator missile or AC130 and don't even get to use it because they suck ass and take forever to receive whatever it is you send, and can't even back out of it when it's just taking all god damn day
They're probably only doing this because most of the community already knows how to make a dedi without their help.
They've forgotten their roots. IW would be nothing without the entirely PC CoD1 community. Seriously, the PC gamers got them popular, and then when they're popular they start making console games and snuff PC players. Fuck 'em. [editline]09:54PM[/editline] Also, CoD2 was pretty much made by PC users although they released on consoles it never took off.
They're probably only doing this because most of the community already knows how to make a dedi without their help.
well once IW got word of that dedi thing, I think they already began trying to patch it.
They did this on purpose so the game got more attention.
I don't think ANY developer would make a bad idea to get attention, considering said attention would be negative and thereby affecting their sales negatively.
PC gamers don't want to be treated like casual gamers, because we simply aren't.
Most PC gamers ARE casual gamers. One of the big reasons PC game sales have been declining is developers have been catering more and more to the tiny minority of hardcore gamers with their PC releases, leaving the casual PC gamers to lose interest and play on consoles instead because it's easier.
PC gamers don't want to be treated like casual gamers, because we simply aren't.
Cry about it.
Cry about it.
Lets think about this for a second, If all PC games were like this, Counter Strike, Day of Defeat, Garry's Mod, would not even be thought of, Facepunch wouldn't be here too. Since it opened because of Garry's mod.
PC gamers don't want to be treated like casual gamers, because we simply aren't.
If you seriously call yourself a PC gamer, and you seriously distinguish yourself from "casual gamers", and you seriously think there's some kind of difference in treatment, you should seriously grow a brain and some testicles yeah thanks [editline]11:48PM[/editline]
Lets think about this for a second, If all PC games were like this, Counter Strike, Day of Defeat, Garry's Mod, would not even be thought of, Facepunch wouldn't be here too.
B) console versions of games are shit-easy to play
Pfff please, shit-easy to play doesn't mean anything. TH89 is correct.
If you seriously call yourself a PC gamer, and you seriously distinguish yourself from "casual gamers", and you seriously think there's some kind of difference in treatment, you should seriously grow a brain and some testicles yeah thanks .
Valve definitely treats us different , since they know PC gamers aren't casual
Wait are people still playing this? I mean, how? The game was about 2 hours long. Yeah it was interesting I guess, but come on guys.
Most PC gamers ARE casual gamers. One of the big reasons PC game sales have been declining is developers have been catering more and more to the tiny minority of hardcore gamers with their PC releases, leaving the casual PC gamers to lose interest and play on consoles instead because it's easier.
No, the main reasons PC game sales are declining has nothing to do with PC gamers. It's the fact that they can release a game on a standardized console and update fairly frequently and not have to worry about distribution all the while allowing them to foster multiplayer communities on said console without having to worry about hosting it on servers themselves. The second most impacting reason for PC gaming's decline is a shockwave of the above, people can pirate and people are more likely to pirate if: They can't easily access the game they want to play, it's too expensive, they don't trust the game itself or it's creators' value. So when developers realized it's easier on them to develop for, say, the 360, the PC became and afterthought and they started to release shoddy ports. Which means more pirating, which in turn means more and more developers realizing the PC isn't worth the trouble.
Valve definitely treats us different , since they know PC gamers aren't casual
Valve treats us like humans. Be you casual or hardcore gamer, valve games on pc are easy to pick up. Dedicated servers do NOT make a game harder to play for casuals.

In the end IW and activision ignored the petition and did nothing.
In the end IW and activision ignored the petition and did nothing.
her majesty's a pretty nice girl, but she changes from day to day
231556 Total Signatures :geno:
231556 Total Signatures :geno:
Compared to an absolute shit load of sales.

I think Infinity Ward is secure in knowing that it doesn't matter what kind of garbage they release, people will still flock to it and buy it by the millions simply because their marketing department is brilliant at hyping the fuck out of the game. Even though everyone spoke the worst shit about Modern Warfare 2 before it was released, despite IW and Activision releasing their outrageous statements, everyone went out and bought the game, even if they hated it before it was released, just to confirm their fears. But while they were confirming their fears, Activision was laughing it up with their cash in hand. And the same thing will happen with all the DLC that they cough up, and eventually MW3. Do you really think Activision/IW would have released the statements they did if they thought it mattered? They're not stupid, they're playing the entire gaming community like the 50 cent kazoo it is.

Nicest thing I could've woke up to. Thank you, IW!
Atleast we should get free map packs in the future unlike the Xbox and ps3 where you have to pay for the added content, it is included in the game updates for us PC gamers.
I'm sure they're not lying. In Modern Warfare 3, you'll have dedicated servers again. :golfclap:
It won't change. They've gone down the console shit hole, now Valve are the only respectable, decent sized, developers that actually support PC fully. Tho they are starting to slide a bit with the l4d stuff but I feel thats more microsofts fault then valves.
Compared to an absolute shit load of sales.
I'm on the petition and I still haven't bought it, does that make me good? :3:
I'm on the petition and I still haven't bought it, does that make me good? :3:
Of course, your not buying the game on the basis of no dedicated servers. Likewise myself.
