people still like to act bandwagons arent a thing when i remember how hugely well received the movie was when it came out back then the only real negative criticisms were how bane wasnt the main villain and they had to make another plot twist attempt just to shoehorn in ras al ghuls daughter reddit, 4chan, facepunch, p much a lot of places genuinely enjoyed it until the whole baneposting stuff surfaced, it gets annoying - but thankfully people are realizing how hilariously bad the movie is
"The circlejerk agrees with ME now, clearly it's now correct!"
I just really liked the movie. And the opening scene as well.
this scene confuses me so fucking much Bane risked so goddamn much for Dr pavel when he already had him in the opening If CIA demasked the guys there, Bane's plan is fucked, soldiers and CIA woulda shot bane there if CIA said "nah fuck it" and didn't take hostages Bane plan would've been fucked If Bane died in the goddamn chaos of a plane crashing his plan would've been fucked it's so much nonsense for something useless he already had the doctor and it's the most memetic scene ever. It's like the Senator Armstrong of movie scenes
I don't think I can ever watch TDKR seriously ever again.
The one thing that stood out to me was the pumping of the scientist's blood into the other guy. It was so baffling when I first saw that in theaters that I had thought I missed something. It was so goofy and unnecessary, why did they 1. care if the US government knew the scientist was kidnapped and 2. thing that a few pumps of blood into another corpse would fool forensics? As if the bullet riddled hull or the fact that the plane's wings fell off hundred of yards behind the rest of the plane wouldn't tip them off. Totally confusing and unnecessary.
This confused me throughout the entire movie so badly I think it hindered the enjoyment of the rest of the film for me.
whoa people are dissecting and studying a movies dialogue and storytelling, how memetic and immature
you realise that memes mean something a bit more than a funny quote/image, right? the phrase 'meme' was originally coined by Richard Dawkins, something that copies another.
Can someone explain what the deal is with this scene? I really don't get it
Poor aerodynamics, stupid pilots and somehow dudes with hand tools are able to compromise an aircrafts structural integrity, also "da beaaytman", a c130 could probably overtake that thing in a straight line but those pilots could have just gone in any direction since that plane was more maneuverable , and also its not really clear why bane didn't just go to gotham in the first place, obviously he can be smuggled anywhere and there the CIA wouldn't be looking for him. Also his fucking voice how did that make it through post production and pre-screening, it should have been alarmingly evident from the first day on set that the mask wasn't going to work God that movie was horrible especially since it HAD to live up to the dark knight, but the idea hadn't been done before that's for sure.
this entire film was hilarious I went into it not knowing the voice he was using for bane and it fucking killed me
Went in there with friends and we were all pretty pissed by how much the quality of the script sucked compared to the previous movies. Biggest thing was the painfully obvious symbolism of "oh Batman has to climb out tooo! Like that kid!!!!" Babies first parallel. but what finally tipped us off was the bomb throwing practice scene with JGL
Baneposting is, right now, the only completely stupid meme that can consistently make me laugh until I wheeze. I don't even know why, the writing and acting isn't nearly as bad as it's made out to be, but holy hell, just hearing "for you" sends me into a giggle fit I love it so much.
The plane scene is like a campy action sequence from the late 80s. It's well put together in terms of effects and stuff, but the writing is corny and awkward. If the entire film was like the plane scene, it would have been great I think.
Beyond the weird dialogue, I find it very strange how he points a gun at the head of someone who has a bag over their face. He probably does that to try get him to talk, but he can't even see the gun? Bane also has a point, why would you shoot someone in the head before throwing them out of a plane?
just found this one

I thought this sequence was so underwhelming. It shouldn't be this stale when clearly so much detail was taken to co-ordinate each shot. Consider this against the batman flying in China sequence or even the train minature in Batman 1. That being said, he flew good here:
i didn't know so many people disliked dark knight rises i thought it was pretty enjoyable
I like it and i am pretty sure that most baneposters do too, it's just very cheesy and it's even more fun if you realise the massive holes some parts of it had. People seem to forget that this is a damn superhero movie and that in the original canon, Bane was a LUCHADOR. The earlier two installments managed to keep convincingly grim and serious tone because the Jokers actor did something completely incredible with the character and the relative unpredictability of his contributed to the densely chaotic feel to the events and they felt genuine and tense. If you take two steps back and look at the third movies plot your realise how absolutely ridiculous and cheesy it is. Bad guy steals a big boomy thing and holds city hostage while Batman is figuring out his middle superhero age crisis. It wasn't a bad movie, it was just a very silly one, mainly in comparison to the ones before it.
Did we watch the same film? You mean, the scientist who sets up the pivotal plot arc of "A nuke is going to blow up gotham" isn't pivotal to the plot at all? The scene where they figure out only one person in the whole world can disarm the bomb is dead, isn't pivotal? I get that the movie had problems, but fuck you people are creating non existent problems.
How to disarm a nuclear device Step 1: remove any superfulus wiring and any accessable timers and or detonators Step2: any clearly marked arming systems tamper with Step 3: if worse case open bomb and tamper with explosive material Step 4: if all else fails remove actual bits of fissile material Step 5: if that fails start hitting bomb with heavy objects and knocking it around Seriously that core thingy would be very difficult to even get it to detonate real nukes have to be precision engineered and designed perfectly to actually explode and regular nuclear bombs are meant to be fail safe so if they're armed wrong they don't go off Not that I'm advocating anyone to try to disarm a nuclear bomb in 5 steps but if you're in a cliche and have no actual instructions and its a movie then sure
The best scene in any Nolan film is the docking scene in Interstellar. The music, the tension, the visuals all work so well together. When I saw that scene in IMAX I got actual goosebumps.

baneposting is not a meme its a lifestyle i really liked the Scenes of bane running the streets of gotham tho, i wish there was more of that.
I thought the movie was good... It wasn't amazing it was still a good film. Also I had no idea people misinterpreted the script. I always thought he was finishing his earlier line before the CIA Agent say "You're a big guy". I never felt that prologue scene was bad by any means, it was hella cool.
Heath Ledger dying really screwed up the intended arc and conclusion to the series.
Haha holy shit how do you guys even get so worked up over some movie scene/meme
The best scene in any Nolan film is the docking scene in Interstellar.
I didn't know Nolan was into gay pornography
begins ended with a nod to the tim burton batman by having the joker at the end
oh my god i never thought about it like that you could- theoretically of course- link batman begins and batman '89
All time favourite
I think this one is more impressive, considering every sound is man made The guy going NANANANANANANA in the background always kills me

I really liked the rotating hotel hallway fight scene from Inception, considering it was literally a rotating hallway set.
This interviewer is such a hothead. He didn't even ask about Germanwings flight 4U and how it crashed with no survivors. Chris Nolan's older brother, Bravo Nolan, is trying to tell us something important with this scene.
The docking scene in Interstellar is by far my favourite. Shit is amazing.
My favourite thing related to baneposting are porn clips with references:
NSFW
