• UK in double-dip recession

Immigration, benefits and binge drinking etc.... Not really. It's mainly down to the massive monetary waste by our government and the crazy high taxes to recoup the losses which is forcing people to spend less resulting in businesses suffering. The government could save billions if it did away with all the pointlesss initiatives, courses, advisory departments, foreign aid and other crap that has no real benefit to the economy. We seriously need to start applying some common sense.
govt. should ban temperance societies and force everyone to have at least a few pints a week - given that the duty on beer now stands at more than £1.10 in a pint they should see an appreciable increase in income.
If only Thatcher had never come to power. I wonder what Britain would be like.
lol having miliband the union cock sucker in power isn't a good alternative.
maybe so, but oh god having this failed coalition in power is nothing short of an embarrassment (fuck you Clegg)
Too much cuts too fast coupled with a high inflation rate has sent business and consumer confidence out of whack. I am not surprised that we are in recession again.
If only Thatcher had never come to power. I wonder what Britain would be like.
I hate to say it but we'd probably be worse off economically. Even if she hated the poor, ended industry subsidisation and other inhumane things such as not giving school children milk; she exploited the unemployed and poor to bring the country of it's recession.
tory robbers ect
IT WAS LABOURS FAULT I TELL YOU! LABOURRRR!!!! Regardless, i'm voting labour on the 3rd of May. Fuck this government.
That's so stupid that you would vote labour after they clearly showed incompetence. All they do is promise the people living on benefits they will give them massive tax credits and up all their benefits to get votes; and then they criticise conservatives for 'getting us in a double dip recession' when it was their fault for letting it get so bad unchecked in the first place - their only response to things like this is to hand out more free stuff to the poor A) for votes and B) because they don't know how to do anything else. Actually, please - go read about what Labour want/wanted to do about the recession. They made some ridiculous 5 point plan which consisted entirely of giving people money to "kickstart the ecnonomy"

Might vote Green instead.

Also they outsourced cleaning in hospitals to companies who did sub-standard work and led to a decline in hygiene. Her economic policy was also successful. That is if she wanted to drive up unemployment past 4 million along with providing an entire generation with sub-standard education.
Thank god the economy-centric tories came in with their cuts and sorted our economy out, right guys?
Fine then, You come up with a way to fix the global economy in a year then.
