Answer to America's problem = Pay money to school.
You're absolutely right. School should not be mandatory. Because it is, all the people who don't give a shit just flood in and people who actually want an education can't even think straight.
My School is a Privately Owned School, we have to pay for loads of shit like Uniform, books, etc... and we learn properly. Answer to America's problem = Pay money to school.
We do pay money. It's called taxes.
Answer to America's problem = Pay money to school.
But what about low-income residents? Exactly, they would get a terrible education and would have no hope of ever getting a good one.
That's not the way to get re-elected.
Yes he's going to lose the entire 8 year old voter demographic.
Our chemistry teacher was nuts and always wanted to blow something up every lesson. How she got the job I don't know, but we all passed chemistry with flying colours :P
We need more teachers like that.
But what about low-income residents? Exactly, they would get a terrible education and would have no hope of ever getting a good one.
That's why they get jobs or have their parents pay for it when they're young.
But what about low-income residents? Exactly, they would get a terrible education and would have no hope of ever getting a good one.
£50 a year is not a lot of money.
Fuck.
£50 a year is not a lot of money.
Private tuition costs more than that, buddy. Maybe if you mean 50 a year for the rest of your life.
My School is a Privately Owned School, we have to pay for loads of shit like Uniform, books, etc... and we learn properly. Answer to America's problem = Pay money to school.
A lot of private schools seem to be more about parents separating children from the children that can't afford private schooling. A lot of the private schools around here have lower test grades than public schools.
That's why they get jobs or have their parents pay for it when they're young.
But, what if their parents got a terrible education and get paid very little and the kids are too young to pay for it with their own jobs? What would happen is that the kids would get very little or no education. Then, when those kids have kids, they wouldn't be able to pay for it. It would become a cycle where low-income residents would never be able to get the opportunity to get a good education.

Haha, poor bastards. This is my last year. :v:
A lot of private schools seem to be more about parents separating children from the children that can't afford private schooling. Unless you're a religious school, then it's "making sure children learn to right things"
Private schools breed self-important douche bags, public schools breed retards. Your choice. I'm sure all seniors and graduates agree to completely get rid of summer vacation.
A lot of private schools seem to be more about parents separating children from the children that can't afford private schooling. A lot of the private schools around here have lower test grades than public schools.
My school is not a Private School, it's just funded by a Private Limited Company. In England every school pretty much has a uniform that you have to buy.
A lot of private schools seem to be more about parents separating children from the children that can't afford private schooling. A lot of the private schools around here have lower test grades than public schools.
I spent a year in private school. It was bullshit, all the kids were full of themselves and they were dumb as fuck.
sucks for them
Exactly. That's why it wouldn't work.
The president represents the government. If he doesn't want to be blamed he can just resign.
The President also represents a certain button that fires nukes, so people probably shouldn't fuck with him.
Private schools breed self-important douche bags, public schools breed retards. Your choice.
Uh, not really. You watch too much TV.
Most private schools are about children getting a better education than the state can provide. Unless you're a religious school, then it's "making sure children learn to right things"
Maybe some private schools are, but the ones I've seen have been all about local rich-ass car dealers sending their kids to a school where they can boss the teachers around because their mommy and daddy paid for an entire wing.
I found nothing wrong with school when I was in it... It's just that nowadays kids don't pay attention so it seems like the quality is shit.
Your wrong. Almost all the teachers at my school are learning the subject one week before we do. Just last week my Visual basic teacher made us look up the history of Visual Basic for A ENTIRE WEEK while he just watched the tutorial videos. Hell I could just do this all on my own at home considering hes just having us use the free Visual Basic and read the tutorials THAT COME WITH IT.
Uh, not really. You watch too much TV.
Have you been to private school?
Most private schools are about children getting a better education than the state can provide. Unless you're a religious school, then it's "making sure children learn to right things"
Clearly you didn't learn how to "right" things.
4 hours is a ton of free time youre not going to get a job during the summer even if you say you are youre probably 12 and life isnt hectic for you compared to lots of people
Don't know where you're from, but 4 hours isn't alot of free time at all. Uh, why not? I'll be of proper age and am expected to get a job next year. I'm 16, will be 17 next year, and it is. It's all relative. Compared to alot of people isn't a good argument-that homeless guy has it good compared to alot of Africans, that Russian diplomat has it bad compared to alot of prime ministers.
I spent a year in private school. It was bullshit, all the kids were full of themselves and they were dumb as fuck.
I've personally never been in one, but I've heard from fellow friends and relatives who say it's exactly like that.
Uh, not really. You watch too much TV.
You're probably one of the self-important douche bags I'm referring to.
ITT Stupid kids on Facepunch don't want longer school years because they want to be lazy and then deny that having longer school years will make them smarter despite all the evidence against them.
That's not the way to get re-elected.
Good thing that kids can't vote then.
Too bad the actual problem isn't the length of time we spend in school. It's the apathy towards learning and the ineffective, non-standardized methods teachers use to try to teach students, but only serve to get students to get good grades (Which mean nothing in a system that is not standardized) and to get them to attain a love of learning and to keep the lessons they have been taught for years after the fact.
