Yes, but shot lists and planning are mainly based on dialogue. It just doesn't make sense that they could have gotten everything together to do everything they had to in that movie without planning a long time in advance.
Exactly, that's what makes it amazing.
They achieved the impossible. It speaks to the amazing talent of the actors involved.
I just hope there will be an iron man 2.

Yeah, if they did do this with no dialogue, then they must have worked hella fast to get all their shit together in time for each sequence after figuring out the dialogue. I do still feel that the guy in the interview was exaggerating it a bit though. It seems more likely that way.
I just hope there will be an iron man 2.
There will be. It's in production now methinks.
I hated the first Iron Man and will never watch the second one. To me, it was very easy to see that it had no script.
Well that's impressive- if the actors were doing any of the film by improvising then they must have been awesome. Might watch it again to see if you can tell anywhere.
Iron Man was one of the best superhero films ever, after Batman Begins (Watchmen was awesome too but doesn't count as a superhero film really).
I'm impressed they were able to put together such a polished, enjoyable product on a rushed budget with no planning.
I didn't think it was great, It was pretty cool though :P
Yeah it was definitely a good movie but it seemed a pretty generic superhero flick, everybody was saying YEAH THIS IS AN A+ MOVIE and I was like no maybe a B and they were like you're crazy
Then The Dark Knight came out and I was like THAT is an A+ superhero movie
I'm not really a fan of the "he's like the superhero, only bigger and EVIL" approach to supervillains

Iron man 1 was such a good movie though how does this make sense
Things turn out better when people think of things on the spot. I loved the humour and that's probably why it was so good.

Watchmen was a little bit of a dissapointment to me.

I have no idea how films like that are even approved. The film would suck even as a YouTube video.
Iron man was a pretty rad movie I guess
Just shows that robert downey jr. is a fantastic actor considering that alot of the movie was improv.

I would rate dark knight A-B, it was meh.
I would rate dark knight A-B, it was meh.
I'd definitely rate it way higher then Iron Man, but I liked both.
I Saw that so long ago I dont even remember if was good or not
Robert Downy is an amazing actor. I loved what he did with Tropic Thunder.
I bet it felt good to make such a hit movie with no script.
I didn't think it was that good :smug:
I thought it was horse shit
The only thing that really put me off was that "The Dude" was playing a bald evil guy. :frown:
Yeah, well, that's just like, your opinion, man.
Wow that's awesome, it was the only generic superhero movie I actually liked.
I guess that's why the "EPIC BATTLE" only lasted 3 minutes.
I didn't really care for Iron Man. 6.5/10
:/

Such a beautiful script...
a lot of movies are made without scripts
[editline]04:01AM[/editline]
i haven't even seen iron man
[editline]04:01AM[/editline]
and the game sucked.
Iron Man was horrible.
Wonder if 2 will have a script.
Iron man 1 was such a good movie though how does this make sense
properly trained in improvisational acting, and you could even have your own schindler's list movie, in terms of dramatics and theatrical performance, so long as you stick to the story frame (the way improvised films work).
a lot of movies are made without scripts
a lot of movies are, sure. but a few hundred movies out of millions isn't really substantial. it's more like most movies having changes made to the lines and/or script either right before or during filming of the scene. it's extremely common with comedy movies, sometimes something seems funnier on paper than in real life, but most comedy movies still have a script.
Jeff Bridges is incredible, regardless of the movie being ok.
but real brilliance comes out when you make it up on the go and it comes out as good as that.
congratulations you summed up my whole youtube profile
