Studies show you're full of shit.

And a source would be nice.
we've been over this before, Fox News isn't a legitimate source
I stand corrected. All men between the ages of 16 and 30.
In the British colony of Massachusetts Bay, all able-bodied men between the ages of 16 and 30 were required to participate in their local militia.
why are you comparing a time when we were fighting for our freedom from oppressors to now, and when we were nowhere near the size we are now

Shows a higher percentage of Democrats attend college, yet a higher percentage of Republicans actually get degrees
To recapitulate: The Republican average IQ is higher than non-voters and independents and all three are higher than the Democratic average IQ.
you do realize that table shows overall democrats having more degrees, and that it means absolutely nothing anyway, right?

I paid my own way through college. In fact, I only took out loans for the first 3 semesters. After that I worked full time to pay as I went. :smug:

That's not at all what the graph says.
shows how much i pay attention to the news around here
woah getting defensive there Ridge, no one said anything about you
I'm just pointing out the same thing I did in the most influential people thread. People on this forum make huge generalizations about massive groups of people, based on the actions of the most well known. This goes for politicians, nationalities, religions and civil rights groups like gays and gun owners.
I thought you were a libertarian not a republican ridge
I have Libertarian ideals, but am registered as a Republican with the hopes I can go to the caucus and put in my vote for an actual conservative candidate.
"And so, the Texas-Revolution lasted a whole ten days before the so called "Second Alamo" was overwhelmed by several regiments of the United States Army and US Marine Corp Force Recon, ending the four month..."

He's not considering the fact that IQ tests and America education in general is designed for middle/upper class white people, who are more likely to favor republicans than other social groups.
In other words, it's completely irrelevant.

Did you post the wrong graph? Because what I'm reading the exact opposite. More Republicans (i.e. 1% more) attend college, while more Democrats (i.e. 5 to 6%) graduate.
I was always under the impression that most states could not survive on their own if they seceded.
New York and New Jersey may be able to, but to lose those states would cripple the US, it'd be impossible for them to secede.
this asshole got reelected? i feel so sorry for you texas.
Can Texas just sink to the bottom of the Gulf?
Wait, I like the Cowboys,
Even better, can we have portions of the Tea Party on the bottom of the Gulf instead?
lmao

Actually, Texas is the only state that could pull it off. They have a power grid completely disconnected from the rest of the states, and have ports and farms and industrial cities. They could easily survive on their own.
New York or New Jersey wouldn't last a month.

If the tiny Baltic States can secede from the USSR and Slovenia can secede from Yugoslavia in 1990, why can't a US state do the same?

Considering this is the longest serving Texas leader in history at a 10 years next month, why do you feel sorry Texans decided to reelect Rick Perry to a third term?

Funny considering Texas contributes the most troops of any state to the Military, and has a State Defense Force that is legally under the control of the State and not the Federal Government like the National Guard

Why the fuck do people think Texas is a desert shithole, it isn't Arizona or else all the cows they make steaks from would die
[editline]6th November 2010[/editline]
Seriously, it's only one small part of the State that's desert :colbert:

I wonder if Texas is teaching its true history yet, because the last few Texans I spoke too had no fucking clue.

The part about them once being their own independent country?
The part about them once being their own independent country?
The part about Texas being literally founded by a bunch of assholes that came storming into Mexico, broke Mexican laws by owning slaves and then died defending slavery.

They went to war with Mexico over several reasons, including Mexico backing out on their concessions for a treaty...
