Texas Governor Rick Perry Wants Texas And Other States To Secede

This guy is hilarious. Unless he wants Federal Martial Law declared in his state, and the United States Military invading him the moment he secedes, he should keep his mouth shut. Literally, I wouldn't blame the Feds if they invaded Texas if they even tried seceding, what kind of stupidity is that? Ever heard the quote, " United we Stand, Divided we FALL. " What's with these extremists these days?
Texas isn't going to secede.
Ever again.
And it's stupid to think that anyone has a chance of pulling it off.
Not going to happen. Lets move on with our lives.

you are one of the worst pseudo intellectuals i've ever seen, bro
They will have to change the name of Six Flags to Seven Flags.

Texas is an awesome state though, I hope they don't secede, I would like to visit someday.
Civil War II??
Yeah, because secession worked great last time.
The part about Texas being literally founded by a bunch of assholes that came storming into Mexico, broke Mexican laws by owning slaves and then died defending slavery.
God damn, I have NEVER EVER once heard anyone say the Texas Revolution was about slavery
Please tell me you aren't Serious
the people who were behind the Texas revolution had lived in the state of Coahuila y Tejas for 5 to 15 years before the Texas Revolution, and followed all the laws to settle there getting land grants by the Mexican government
It wasn't until the 1830s did they start the revolution due to Santa Anna turning Mexico into a centralist dictatorship, which is why you had 5 other Mexican states secede along with Texas
Now what the fuck does this have to do with Slavery?

Its pretty cool, it helps to speak Spanish. Staff at Mexican taquerías treat you better if you speak their language. It's authentic.
Yeah, because secession worked great last time.
If it wasn't for secession Texas would still be apart of Mexico and America wouldn't have California and the rest of the Southwest

Why wouldn't you be able to visit the Republic of Texas assuming America doesn't go full retard
Also the American flag is already included in the Six Flags :eng101:

Considering this is the longest serving Texas leader in history at a 10 years next month, why do you feel sorry Texans decided to reelect Rick Perry to a third term?
[editline]6th November 2010[/editline]
Funny considering Texas contributes the most troops of any state to the Military, and has a State Defense Force that is legally under the control of the State and not the Federal Government like the National Guard

Why the fuck do people think Texas is a desert shithole, it isn't Arizona or else all the cows they make steaks from would die
[editline]6th November 2010[/editline]
Seriously, it's only one small part of the State that's desert :colbert:
[img_thumb]http://www.oberlin.edu/faculty/mmoore/pics/CDR.map.reduced.jpg[/img_thumb]
Why does everyone think Arizona is a desert shithole? We have more farmland then a good 75% of the South Western States.
Actually, Texas is the only state that could pull it off. They have a power grid completely disconnected from the rest of the states, and have ports and farms and industrial cities. They could easily survive on their own.
New York or New Jersey wouldn't last a month.
It will never happen.

Nothing is wrong with being a desert shithole you know.

Except the whole "shithole" part.
I pretty sure the definition of desert is based purely around the amount of rainfall in the region, with proper irrigation, anything is possible.
http://www.bellowsfoundation.org/wp-content/DSCN2454.JPG
Yup... Totally a shithole huh?

Sorry... Had to get a little defensive while I'm stuck here for a little longer.
It will never happen.
Too bad it will considering the United States can not last forever

but I like desert shitholes
Arizona isn't much of a shithole... Beautiful place for taking pictures, but I miss being able to step next to a stream with a fly rod, and catch a steelhead.

What the fuck, no Mexican Law or provision in the Mexican Land Grants to Anglo Settlers required them to convert to Roman Catholicism, secondly, Slavery was outlawed by Spanish and Mexican law, explicitly barring slaveholders from Mexican land grants
Meanwhile 'Mexicanized' what the fuck is this?

Yeah I thought the Texas School Board was fucking retarded, but the Text Book you showed me made me reconsider that, this thing is so fucking skewed it's not fucking funny

You're calling the largest and most prestigious textbook company in the world skewed? Man Texas has really done a number on its citizens. If it does try and secede i wish the best of luck to you all, honestly from the bottom of my heart.
Eh
I have never like them or anyone from there
Always seem to be asswholes
Most of the time anyway
Because it worked so well last time.
Actually, can we give Texas back to Mexico?
Only because Sherman burned Georgia down.
I like Texas, but can we not have a retarded governor, please.
I hate secessionists, they have absolutely no right to secede. If a democratic government has decided to introduce a law then you fucking follow it: no picking and choosing.
How did he win reelection? Did the other candidates mysteriously disappear on election day?
I'll admit, the tension was high in texas to see which republican would win the election
Austin, TX seems to be a haven of non-crazy people... Why is it in that state?
Austin, TX seems to be a haven of non-crazy people...
