I said smoking, smoking it still does not provide health benefits.
Are you retarded?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medical_cannabis
Here, let me link you this again, this is medical research by the way of SMOKING it, all these medical uses were by SMOKING it, lighting it on fire and inhaling it. Sure, it may not be good to inhale smoke, but you don't get cancer, and you don't increase your risk of cancer.

neither does drinking alcohol, eating mcdonalds, breathing air during traffic, sitting on the computer
the list goes on dude there are much much much more harmful things people do to their body daily than smoke weed but you dont seem to care about that

Oh hey, let me link a wikipedia page instead of an article proving specific effects so as to actually prove my argument.
You linked a wiki page, he posted from the page, you link the page again to prove him wrong

Funny how people like Sobotnik will actively fight against marijuana legalisation but they're perfectly fine with fast food chains exploiting poor people.

You linked a wiki page, he posted from the page, you link the page again to prove him wrong
Oh you mean the government doesn't lie to us? The ones who classified LSD as a schedule one drug when it has no potential for addiction or abuse, and doesn't do any harm to your body?
Funny how people like Sobotnik will actively fight against marijuana legalisation but they're perfectly fine with fast food chains exploiting poor people.

I would support it being legalised, but it disgusts me knowing that people like you would advocate lying to people in order to do so

Funny how people like Sobotnik will actively fight against marijuana legalisation but they're perfectly fine with fast food chains exploiting poor people.
I don't fight against it, and its a pretty fucking long stretch to say fast food chains exploit the poor and somehow you think I agree with it.

You post a source with the intent of showing your point. Counter-claim using the same source, call bullshit for shitty source
I have a pair of shoes made of hemp, they don't fit me anymore
Only one solution. Ban hemp.
And Sobotnik, please tell me you're trolling us. Give me a source that says cannabis is deadly or has extremely harmful side effects. The BBC wrote an article a while back noting that alcohol was more harmful than MDMA, cannabis, LSD and psilocybin mushrooms combined. I'll try and find the link for you if you want it. A study funded by the Canadian government also found that cannabis is not addictive and has no serious health risks.
LSD and psilocybin mushrooms are not harmful though?
LSD and psilocybin mushrooms are not harmful though?
I know, I'm just restating what the article said.
Give me a source that says cannabis is deadly or has extremely harmful side effects.
I never fucking said that cannabis is deadly, all I say is that it is of little medical benefit, and resources and time would be better spent on something else. Even if it had medical benefit it should have no influence on its legalisation.
Even if it had medical benefit it should have no influence on its legalisation.
You're right. We should just let people live in pain and die of diseases that we have the ability to treat, but why do that when we can pump more money into tobacco.
You're right. We should just let people live in pain and die of diseases that we have the ability to treat, but why do that when we can pump more money into tobacco.
You're implying that "have no influence on legislation" means "keep the ban on it"
Good one
You're right. We should just let people live in pain and die of diseases that we have the ability to treat, but why do that when we can pump more money into tobacco.
You can still use it for medical research, but it doesn't mean it is made legal for public use. Morphine is used in medicine but it doesn't influence its legality in public.
Drugs are for idiots.
I guess idiots are people who want to open up their mind
I guess idiots are people who want to open up their mind
You open your mind by learning, not smoking a dried up plant leaf.

I'm guessing you've never smoked weed. If you have, you would know that you learn ALOT after getting high
I'm guessing you've never smoked weed. If you have, you would know that you learn ALOT after getting high
I never intend to, its a waste of time and exaggerated. Plus seeing my own mother become addicted to it somewhat makes me less willing to try it.
-snip- whatever
And my dad was addicted to soda
No fuck you, mother became paranoid and kept smoking it as much as possible. She constantly made my fathers life terrible, and later my own. She tried to hang herself twice in front of me and took several overdoses on pills why the fuck do you think I should be supportive of cannabis legalisation?
I don't support it being illegal, but all you fucking stoners who refuse to accept that it does have little merit and a few problems with it.

You may now realise why I am rather hostile to stoners who advocate it replace half of everything.
You may now realise why I am rather hostile to stoners who advocate it replace half of everything.
I love how you assume that every marijuana advocate is a stoner.
I love how you assume that every marijuana advocate is a stoner.
Are you?
If it is great for production then why is wood pulp used for paper, nylon and cotton for ropes and string, cotton for cloth, etc? Plus the varieties that are smoked have been around for only really a short time and the strength of them has only increased to massive levels in recent years.
The first part is so stupid it doesn't even merit a response. The second part I'll explain. The 'varieties' that people smoke haven't only been around for a short time. Stronger strains of Cannabis have always existed (though people didn't really have a great knowledge of how to breed plants), and people have smoked or consumed THC containing derivatives of the plant for thousands of years. Putting that aside, greater potency should be viewed as a good thing, as people now have to consume less material for the same affect. If I'm wanting to have an effect but I'm not there yet, I'll smoke more. If I'm some rich merchant from 15 A.D I'm going to simply consume more hashish. You think that people stopped at a little buzz? Nope, they got stoned.
The first part is so stupid it doesn't even merit a response.
Because you cannot counter it.

Then explain the breeding of wheat varieties, among other cereals that occured before, during and after along with that cannabis was still very weak in the mid 20th century (Comparing to today)

If they wanted greater potency, then why did strong varieties only recently appear and that the practice of actual smoking itself only exist for around 5 centuries. (To the point when the habit first began involving tobacco, the user was said to be drinking rather than smoking)
Dude, Shut the fuck up, take a hit, and chill the fuck out, You're the biggest prick in this thread. You don't need to argue over every little fuckin' drug thread there is... Shithead...
Only because the opposing side is ignorant and biased.
