Well, remember, console gamers are for the majority fully retarded.
Actually, some people simply can't afford a good PC. Keep that in mind.
Besides, Console gamers HAVE to be judgmental because we're literally at the mercy of developers. If a game fails to meet expectations, we can't create fixes or mods to make it better. We're fucked.
- Severely reduced graphical quality. Doesn't Bug me much
- Lack of support for custom content Right
- Horrible community: I play my 360 a lot actually, and I can vouch for some of the comments in this thread, 90% of the community is horrible. When you go online, for god's sake find some friends or the mute button.
- Cheaper games, this "expensive ass" PC ($700 total with the 5850) pays for itself somewhat in the long run. Unless it's a sale on steam it's not that much cheaper
- Sacrificing playing time or batteries to the 360 Controller. There are wired controllers you know.

Just because I play PC games doesn't mean I don't have real friends and don't spend time with them. Just because I own and play a 360 doesn't mean I'm fucking retarded either. Having both a PC and a 360 apparently gets you the insults from both sides. Not a nazi pc user +1
Yes you can, you CAN mod xbox games.
But anyway, i do agree with Yeril. I know that, out of all my friends, i play almost all my games on my pc, i follow development, i watch videos of it being made, dev biographies and read dev blogs. My friends who were playing games on xbox don't take any looks into it. When waiting for Mw2, my friends knew shit other then its COD4 but better.
Everyone knows console gamers are fags, they are what is holding the damn technology of games back with their underpowered* piles of shit they call a gaming rig.
*Namely the xbox360 and its really bad hardware.
If my ecksbocks cost $4000, I'd probably expect more of it.
That fact is that it doesn't so I don't. It's easy, It works, and there's no need to meet specs or buy a superpowered gaming rig. That's not to say that PC gaming isn't infinitely better than console gaming when fully utilized.

You can Mod Xbox games without having to buy specialized equipment, and without your console being banned from LIVE by Microsoft when the modifications are detected?
No.
Ungrateful? They do not owe you or themselves anything.
What? I was pointing out eeven though it's Free (Not the Sam and max things now) People still bawww like hell, liek "OH NO FREE CONTENT I'M QUITING FOREVER AM I EDGEY AND COOL NOW?!"
I said the single most important difference is a PC gamer forgives you for about a minute. A console gamer gives you two seconds. It sucks or it fails and you're either the top or a flop. They don't respect any value you put into your development, either it works or it doesn't work."
Now I'm a pretty avid PCplayer and while I appreciate this comment, going around forums like I do PC fans can be just as unforgiving towards a game that doesn't meet their expectations.
Your suck a mindless prick. I love gaming on both, but to just shit down on someone because of what they play games on is just stereotypical and rude.

You know, I have to say this: your terrible grammar and poor attempt at using big words do nothing but prove his point.
I know plenty of intelligent console gamers - these all play PC games as well, however, sometimes more so than their XB360. I indulge in it myself from time to time, and its a fantastic way to kill time - but if I'm looking for real entertainment I turn to the computer every time.

Actually he's right. Debating the intelligence of all console gamers simply because they don't have a good PC is indicative of a deficiency in intelligence on part of the one debating it. There's no correlation whatsoever.
PCs give a lot more freedom IMO. You can basically do anything on this damn thing, consoles are a bit restricted in a sense you can't mod it (I'm a custom content junkie) but like others, I play it from time to time because some games that I love can't be played on the PC unfortanately (as some people have said).
Anyway, none side is perfect but I'd rather stick to the PC side then the consoles. Ergh.
Let him say what he wants, we'll see how fiendish console gamers are with Crysis 2 sales.
It's not Cervat Yerli.
It's Cevat Yerli.
I play console games and I respect the development and fine tuning of games being released onto consoles. Hell, I was intrigued by it, I read every single Halo 3 development progress update that Bungie ever put up on their site, from podcasts to weekly updates, and I didn't even like the game that much. It was the development cycle that I was interested in, the evolution of a game and how something can come from nothing. I really wish people would stop generalizing console gamers as idiots, I mean, a lot of them are, but not all of them.
i just also figured this statement is ironic, since what made them go to consoles in the first place is people not respecting the development by pirating Crysis
The only thing I ever play consoles for is exclusives. Other than that I tend to play PC.
i just also figured this statement is ironic, since what made them go to consoles in the first place is people not respecting the development by pirating Crysis
Actually, no, they are porting it to consoles so a wider group of people could play the game and so that the engine would become more popular.

sorry what.
none of this 'unless it's a steam sale', pc games are cheaper, massively cheaper.
BFBC2. (on Amazon)
PC: £24.99
Console: £36.99
BFBC2. (on play)
PC: £26.99
Console: £39.99
Bioshock 2 (on Amazon)
PC: £17.99
Console: £24.99
Bioshock 2 (on Play)
PC: £17.99
Console: £39.99
almost all games follow this trend, unless they are on deal.
Cervat Yerli, knows what hes talking about ;)
I have played console games since Atari 2600. I currently own a Nintendo DS, a Wii (which I picked up on launch day), an X360, a PS3, and my decked out computer.
So, which do I play most often? Honestly, the question should be "which do you play at all?". I don't even touch my consoles. They suck dick. I am so horribly disappointed with this generation of console gaming, I won't even be buying into the next gen. I'm done. PC all the way.
See, games on consoles used to be distinctly different. You could play them on PC but... it isn't really the same. But now, many of these console games might as well be PC games, but they confine you to a shitty controller, poorly manufactured console, and all kinds of expensive limitations. Don't have enough hard drive space? Instead of buying another 1 TB drive for $70, you have to buy a 120GB drive for $200. Does that make sense? Not one fucking bit. Want to buy games? You have to use some proprietary store shit that forces you to buy points in a deliberately confusing system that makes it harder for you to know what the fuck you're paying. Add to that no way to redeem unspent points, and you've got a fucking failure of a platform. But it gets better. Backwards compatibility is often an afterthought. All those old games you bought... you either have to buy them again, or you don't get to play them at all. And then there is the online mode... virtually all online is run through matchmaking, meaning you don't get to choose the servers closest to home, you get shoved into a game where people could be from the US or from AU and you don't even get to know which, so you could have a ping of 6000 for all you know... but you don't get to know that either, because consoles are designed for the lowest common denominator so they just assume you can't understand some incredibly difficult concept like "LOWER LATENCY = BETTER".
Oh fuck, I'm gonna stop here, but I'm seriously tired of consoles. I will not be participating in the next generation, and will instead dump the saved money into my PC. I am 100% sure I will not regret it.
EDIT: This has nothing to do with PC elitism. As I said, I've been gaming on consoles (and PC) since Atari 2600 (I still have the fucker lying around here somewhere). I used to enjoy console gaming, but now... I don't see the point anymore.
I have played console games since Atari 2600.
I got my respect right there, my first PC was a Russian homebrew ZX Spectrum which was awesome, (Frogger ftw)
Hey now, I respect development.
most developers just don't have common sense, console or pc, and in my opinion, most the games in the past 5 years have been good starts but just turned out to be underdeveloped, effortless pieces of shit. modern warfare 2 for example. games are just made to advertise well and have diehard fans buy them. if a game doesn't wow a person in the first moments of playing and makes them drop it, that means they should have spent more time developing it.
Just Cause 2, Portal, EP2, TF2 the list is huge, are they underdeveloped?
You have no idea of what you're talking about.

EP2 was kind of meh. Certainly not as good as EP1.

you mean vice versa?
you mean vice versa?
Really? I found the entire antlion bit to be boring and drawn-out, and the final battle with the Striders was incredibly frustrating.

I thought that final battle was really intense, EP2 was on the same level as HL2 if not better.

so are you the kind of person who skips to the exciting parts of movies
I thought that final battle was really intense, EP2 was on the same level as HL2 if not better.
It was very intense, but a bit too difficult in comparison to the rest of the game in my opinion. Then again I've never really liked the endings of any of the Half Life games, they pretty much all end in cliffhangers.
Emmmmm
HL2 - no cliffhanger
HL1 - no cliffhanger
EP1 - don't remember
