I can understand people playing both PC and Consoles but the ones that say that Consoles are more superior should just GTFO from the forum of an PC exclusive game.
In my case the experience had on the 360 is by far a greater experience than playing on my PC due to the fact that my xbox probably runs the same games (such as ME2) much better than my PC does (as my PC isn't exactly top of the end). At least the games are optimised for the console, for a single platform. Anyone who owns it has the exact same hardware specs (so you don't only get half of the experience due to having worse specs than the game was developed for).
And, as I've said before, I prefer to not be sitting so close to the fucking screen. I usually sit as far back as physically possible from my monitor while at the computer. Playing my xbox lets me sit on my bed a good 7 or 8 feet from my TV, and... well, I get to sit on my nice, comfy bed as opposed to on this chair.
Also, my xbox doubles up as a media centre too. Can play music over it, or I can watch DVDs using it (and, at least for the latter: once again from the comfort of my own bed while not being too close to the display).
But that last paragraph sort of strays away from the whole 'gaming experience'.
Depends, most gamers that understand how everything works and respect developers are pc gamers as well.
Of course the average console player isn't going to care, all they want to do is play the game..who cares? Seriously. People go to movies and make that quick judgment, it doesn't mean you have to know how everything is made and respect it.
I love gaming on the PC, but there are some games that are simply better on consoles. I'm not dedicated to either side, but each has their own advantages.
I have to agree. I play games on both consoles and the PC and some games are better on different platforms. What platform you prefer is not a measure of your intelligence and it is that sort of elitism that starts fan boy debates to begin with. Idiots exist on any gaming community.
Notice that the only REAL reason, for living console more than PC, people have is "My <console> runs games better than my PC" which means that you just couldn't be arsed to buy proper PC.
Have you guys even seen someone like "olololol PEECEE sucks mw2 iz da best" or are you just jumping on a bandwagon?
I have a Gamecube and a PS2, am I a consolefag ? :ohdear:

Yep, seen quite a lot of ppl like that, both online and irl

Or, you know, you don't have the money to.
I'm only 17, I'm still in school. Granted I barely ask for anything. I ask for one or two things a year. But even so I don't want to have my parents fork out three times as much for a computer as I do for a console when the computer will be outdated in another year or two while the console will remain fine for several more years.
And, again, I simply don't like playing games here at this desk. I'd rather lie on my bed and play a game than sit here.
Oh, and, I DO respect the development process. When I hear about a sequel to a game coming out within a year or two, I worry. Good games tend to have a dev cycle of about three years. I PREFER it when developers spend a long time on the game instead of rushing it out, and I don't go, "OH, THIS IS SHIT!" after playing for two seconds. Normally if I start a game, I WILL finish it. That's just the way I do things. 99% of the time I'll learn to love it even if it has a few initial hiccups.
I think most console gamers are actually PC gamers too.

MOST console gamers are kids or people who use pcs to access facebook
One thing I'd like to point out about the pricing of consoles vs. the pricing of a computer. If you buy a prebuilt computer (you should build it yourself, but still..), they will charge you more than the cost of the parts for labor and brand, and they take a certain percentage profit off each computer sold.
Consoles will take a loss with the console itself. They actually lose money by selling consoles. So how do they make up for it? Accessories. They generally mark up accessories 200%+, things like wires, controllers, memory cards, etc. Examples:
Xbox 360 AV cable - list price $40, probably cost them $5 to make in some factory in china. [link]
Xbox 360 wireless adapter - list price $80, again, it's pretty cheap to make this stuff, probably $20 or less for the wifi card in there. [link]
PS3 wireless keypad - list price $50, probably cost $10 to make. [link]
This is kinda like one of those filters for people, kinda like how the nutjobs of the republican party end up in the Tea Party, for example.
All the dumb, stupid gamers end up playing the consoles because it is easier than taking the ten minute work and $300 dollars of setting up your rig for something like Modern Warfare, when you can just be lazy and buy an Xbox for $400 and play it on there. Hence, the dumber, lazier gamers tend to be attracted to the consoles rather than the PC.
I like both and while I am now playing PC more (finally got my Dual-core) I can understand why people rather play Xbox.
Why would I want to dish out MORE MONEY FOR UPGRADES FOR YEARS TO COME.
On my old CPU I got 9FPS in GTA4 Minimum (Single-Core)
I get 30 FPS on Low now on my Dual-Core
on Xbox and PS3 it runs 30FPS on High
You see that? It runs better on better settings and those consoles are YEARS OLD.
No one wants to spend money on shit when a console does it just fine no hassle for years to come with no need for getting a new computer or new upgrades like PC gamers do. People don't have the time or even sometimes the intelligence to learn about computers the mass consumer simply wants something easy and that is understandable.

My point is, technology is useless if we can not easily use it and understand it.
Alot of technology we have right now is not even being used to it's full power or potential.

I don't have enough money to buy a PC good enough to run the latest games

nope.
Everyone in my class that plays games plays MW2 on console.
PC is only for Facebook, msn and porn

High my ass, it runs on med-low on consoles.
But yeah, I had to run it at all lowest to get decent fps, often less than 30.
Can I update my Computer with new parts in later years? Yes
Can I update my Xbox with new parts in later years? No, you're stuck with what you've got.
Since everyone is going on about PC costing more than consoles:
Console game: 70€
PC game: 40€
PC: 600€
Need to update PC: once a year for around 120€ on average
XBL: 8€ a month
So let's say you buy a PC and two games a month and calculate the price for 5 years:
600+(120*5)+(80*12)*5=600+600+4800=6000€ in five years.
Now let's calculate for a console:
400+(8x12)*5+(140*12)*5=400+480+8400=9280€
Console gaming costs 1.54 times more than PC gaming, and we are excluding the overpriced accessories (like 360 HDDs, for one) and that the PC can do much more than a console.
Even if you raise the yearly upgrading cost and the PC game cost (to 50€) console gaming will still cost more (not to mention the full HD tv which costs upwards of 1000€).
Hoping that I did not fuck something up hard in the above calculations.
I dunno where you buy games, here they cost 60Eur for console and 50 for pc, new ones obviously.
I cant wait till crysis 2 hit the console so I can laugh at how shitty it'll look compared to a computer.

well number one GTA4 is a hog on the computer. and two a dual core isn't really goina do the job. are you considering what graphics card you have?

I was going to come into this thread explaining how some people (namely myself) simply do not have the money for higher end PC's. But now due to your post, I think I'm going to change that opinion. Thanks
I also fixed your post in case the reader uses a PS3.

No, Not every game is filled with Douchebags saying "OHEMGEE DIS GME SCKS LTS GO PLY MW2"

say you have a Problem
"Why can't I shoot"
"Alt+F4"
"Press F10 + enter"
"Delete System32"
And for the Ungratefulness, Look at the Tf2 community at the moment, They're absolutly shitting themselves over a few items that you get for buying a new game that may be fun, when frankly, Its moar content.

You won't get banned for it. Besides, the reason why they are mean to you is because it's a 3 second thing that you can do yourself.
Ungrateful? They do not owe you or themselves anything.
I'm a console gamer.
Why? Because I can't afford to game on my PC. Now let's look at the figures that acds posted.
9280 for 5 years? I got 1800. I only ever, AT MAX, buy 4 games a year, not two a month, mainly because me and my friends constantly trade games, there is little need to buy many. Also, I don't use XBL.
The PC would cost me 2000 for the five years, assuming I bought the same amount of games.
However, an amount of just 200 in 5 years is trivial right? Not if I don't have a job, car, or anyway to get steady income, and won't for a few years.
Besides, I like playing games with my friends, and it's much easier to do that with consoles. We like the "sit on the couch together and take turns/laugh at each other dieing" style multiplayer, not "talk to each other over the mic, mainly about what's going on in-game" style.
Oh, but I forgot, none of that matters because "Ime a st00ped consou1 ga3mr MW2 1337 FTW!!!!!11!!!1!11!!!!1!!11"
By the way, I've never played Modern Warfare 2.

I can agree with this, but if you aren't in this criteria, then you aren't the type of person that PC users are referring to;
You guys are all yelling over nothing. Consolefags, the ones we're referring to, don't browse web forums! Generally PC gamers have a superiority complex because large publishers disrespect us constantly and to some it looks like it's dying. To make up for that, we just go ahead and say that console gamers retarded MW2 fans. Oh, and because consoles are "popular", even though PC games have had and still have some of the biggest online communities.
