An ignorant retort followed by an ignorant statement with no context or reasoning.
Shut down Guantanamo and then talk
Both countries have issues and that's basically what China is saying
there's a massive difference between a prison for detainees of terrorist activities having issues with civil rights and colonizing and oppressing an entire country of people and trying to exterminate their culture.
there is absolutely no comparison between china and the US, there's really not. The US has small scale fuckups overseas when we try to intervene in order to save our own interests (oil) that just cause violence; we resort to use of torture of enemy combatants which is fucked up. But that doesn't even hold a candle to what China does to its own fucking citizens and civilians of other countries.

jailing citizens for political dissent is unacceptable.

Its a lot better than killing them.
Its a lot better than killing them.
The United States executed 52 people in 2009, China executed anywhere from 1,700 to 6,000.
Then they just harvest their organs and go on their merry way.
Also China has many political prisons.
The US has guantanamo which contains about 60% of actual terrorists where in Chinese prions, they send people there to rot for writing a petition.
ITT: upset americans get defensive

Unfair statistics, unless you take into account the amount o people China has.
Would be more reasonable to use executions per capita. I'm sure there are statistics on that.
Edit:
Also stupid to compare numbers. Is it more justifiable that 52 people are killed, than 1700? I think it's that fact that capital punishment exists that should be pinpointed.

Well per capita China would have to have 9.8 billion people to come out equal with the US.

There are: http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/cri_exe_percap-crime-executions-per-capita
Also the vast majority of executions in China are due to aggravated murder and drug trafficking, but they can be as flexible as the poaching of pandas or corruption/theft.

China makes Guantanamo look like a McDonalds Ball Pit.
They are just trying to deflect the criticism by finding problems with the US government. But ultimately, China will always be near the top of the list when it comes to shitty ass governments.
