It is relevant because even before, when Obama was first president he banned immigration from Iraq for 6 months. Nobody cares about that either? Double standards.
Alright so you've failed to post anything even vaguely researched three times now; if this were Baseball you'd be hitting the bench right about now. Want to try again?
Back to the main article though, as Archangel pointed out it's seriously astounding that these statistics were taken before Trump's executive action on immigration even took place. Like holy shit.
Obama didn't ban refugees outright. He imposed harsher background checks on immigrants and pledged to reassess the records of about 58,000 refugees who were already settled in the U.S. He didn't detain anyone at the airport or deny access to green card holders and legal U.S. residents. Also, the main source for your argument is Breitbart. Definitely not a coincidence. Here's a more reliable source for you.
Don't really know why you go on Breitbart so often. Also why don't you look here? http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2017/jan/29/trumps-immigration-ban-4-key-questions-answered/ the list of countries is made by the Obama Administration.

under budget, ahead of schedule!

Maybe Trump will visit the Middle East and one of those countries and also gets a shoe in his face ;)
Maybe Trump will visit the Middle East and one of those countries and also gets a shoe in his face ;)
Maybe, he's been to Russia and got piss in the face though.
But nobody cares when Obama bombed with thousand of drones. Those countries that the Obama Administration has listed as dangerous. Its alright when the team I am on does it. Such hypocrisy.

Rightist debate tactic: 1. Avoid difficult debate or questions outright. 2.a. If debate cannot be avoided, reference how the bad thing is okay because a democrat did a similar bad thing in the past. 2.b. Alternatively, conveniently ignore key events. Is your point that Trump isn't censoring people? It's okay, the EPA communication gag did not even happen. (Bonus points if you can pin this on biased media or fake news.)
*BUZZER* Try again.
*BUZZER* Try again.
Trude should invite Trump and smoke some weed.
That's what I thought. And now that that matter is settled, let's get back on topic. How many Americans do you realistically think are still going to approve of Trump's administration once the stats come in from yesterday and today? Especially once they hear Green Card holders are being barred entry?
How many Americans do you realistically think are still going to approve of Trump's administration once the stats come in from yesterday and today? Especially once they hear Green Card holders are being barred entry?
Well considering that many of the Trump voters believe that immigrants are taking their jobs, probably not as many as you're alluding to.

A few might realize that Trump has moved beyond stopping illegal immigrants and moved to restricting legal immigrants and legal permanent residents, and they might go "what the fuck dude." Prolly around 2%.

Especially once they hear Green Card holders are being barred entry?
Likely sub 40%, if the incident didn't cause massive chaos and confusion it might stabilize and remain about the same, but since it was a complete clusterfuck that was blocked at least temporarily it makes Trump look even more incompetent and ineffectual. The "Christian refugees first" policy also backfired tremendously and probably angered quite a few people.
Don't really know why you go on Breitbart so often. Also why don't you look here? http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2017/jan/29/trumps-immigration-ban-4-key-questions-answered/ the list of countries is made by the Obama Administration.
Okay, so I just read the Politifact article you linked and I thought I'd quote you some key points: Point #1:
Trump put all processing of refugees on hold for three months and suspended the vetting of Syrian refugees indefinitely, "until such time as I have determined that sufficient changes have been made to the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program to ensure that admission of Syrian refugees is consistent with the national interest."
Point #2:
"The Secretaries of State and Homeland Security may, on a case-by-case basis, and when in the national interest, issue visas or other immigration benefits to nationals of countries for which visas and benefits are otherwise blocked," the order said.
Put these two things together. The Trump administration is halting all arrivals until the State Department and DHS can review applicants on a case-by-case basis. Given Trump's public comments about prioritizing Christian refugees, we can expect these rules to be applied in a discriminatory manner. Meaning that the order will quickly be ruled unconstitutional. Since you're trying to pass the buck to the Obama administration for listing these countries as "terrorist hotbeds" in the first place, I have only one thing to say: designating a country as a terrorist hotbed doesn't justify turning away refugees from that country. In fact it should be all the more reason to accept refugees.
I don't think it will go down much, it will probably stabilise and go up slowly. Also countries that are not affected by the ban that has Muslim refugee can enter. Such as Saudi Arabia. So they are not entirely banning based on faith. Maybe if they fix what they are trying to fix they can take in more Refugees than the previous administration.
countries that are not affected by the ban that has Muslim refugee can enter. Such as Saudi Arabia. So they are not entirely banning based on faith.
Yes, how generous of Trump. Oh wait...
[Trump] has significant commercial interests in Turkey and Azerbaijan, is developing properties in Indonesia and Dubai, and has formed companies in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. His daughter Ivanka said in 2015 that the company was looking at "multiple opportunities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Saudi Arabia — the four areas where we are seeing the most interest. Critics said it appears that Trump is picking favorites, overlooking terrorist links in countries such as Saudi Arabia and Turkey that have their own history of terrorism."
To put this in context, 15 of the 19 9/11 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia. The rest were from the UAE, Egypt, and Lebanon. None of these countries are on Trump's list. But yes, I agree, I hope this whole thing blows over and the administration ultimately decides to accept more refugees.
It's not a muslim ban but whatever.
Didn't realize changing the terminology meant changing the intention. He was calling for a ban of Muslims all the way back in 2015.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but can we have Pence now. Pence Pre-trump has almost exactly the same policies (except for muslim ban) and securing the border.
I would say lets make it to where he will have an all time low of 0%. But there will always be large groups of people who think he is a good president for god knows why.
I don't think it will go down much, it will probably stabilise and go up slowly. Also countries that are not affected by the ban that has Muslim refugee can enter. Maybe if they fix what they are trying to fix they can take in more Refugees than the previous administration.
There is speculation that Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, and the UAE have not been banned, because Trump actually has private business interests in each of those countries (and no private business interests in any of the countries that have been banned). And ironically, the terrorists who committed the 9/11 attacks were from those four non-banned countries - and none were from the countries that his administration has just banned.
Maybe give him a chance first ? Hes been Pres for like a week. At least so far he has kept his promises
Maybe give him a chance first ? Hes been Pres for like a week. At least so far he has kept his promises
his promises are shit.
Not surprising. I'd argue that the majority of people I know support most of what he's done.
you must know some truly garbage people then
I hope this is sarcasm.
He's trolling. Don't take the bait.
Maybe give him a chance first ? Hes been Pres for like a week. At least so far he has kept his promises
Mugger: "Give me your wallet or I'll stab you!"
He's trolling. Don't take the bait.
I'm not sure, I've been hearing this as the number 1 excuse for Trump so far this week.
