Wow, thats bad.
it's gonna sound bad I'm sure but I wish we could just do away with people who wouldn't survive in the wild. people with terrible, painful diseases like this would die peacefully a few weeks after birth, it would keep suffering like that to a minimum. [editline]21st December 2011[/editline] maybe he's not suffering though, he doesn't seem like he's in too much pain despite everything that's wrong with him. I can't imagine him ever leading a normal life though.
I'll probably sound like a dick, but I would just hold a pillow over his face while crying. And maybe touching myself a little. But in all seriousness, I don't foresee the kid living too much longer, whether he dies of natural causes or they decide to...er...euthanize him? I don't know the proper term.
Wow, you're a fucking idiot.
It's really hard for me to say that I agree with you guys saying he should be put out of his misery, because it is absolutely what should be done, but my mother has muscular dystrophy(obviously not as terrible as this, but she has very little strength and can barely walk) and I would never want that to be done to her. Past or present. It sounds awful to say, but on one hand, it feels terrible to see people suffer, but on the other, they usually turn out to be some of the strongest and nicest people you'll meet.
This is so tragic it's unreal. The little guy keeps smiling. I know it must be tough on the baby and the parents, but I think they're doing the right thing by raising him despite the crippling illness. I wouldn't be able to fault them if they did chose a loving euthenasia, but this way the little guy gets to grow and make that decision on his own, if it ever comes to that. Who knows if science will find a cure in that time, or even just better anesthetics.
fuck that shit if my kid turned out like that, I'd just put it up for adoption and try again if they turn out to survive, they'd just kill themselves before 16 like most teens these days anyway (except we'll know why)
Jesus, if my son ever had that, I'd probably take his life and then end up taking my own because that's too much guilt for anyone to bear.
He needs to be terminated. I know it sounds horrible and disgusting , but come the fuck on. He's in pain already and as the doctors have said , he'll be in the pain FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE. Think of the many things he WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO DO. It'd be much easier to euthanize him now than him to commit suicide in later life , or the disease will just cause so much that he'll die from it's symptoms. Having a shit and horrible life that will ultimately lead you to suicide at some point is not a life to be lead.
You have very clearly never had a child. Shut up.
And maybe touching myself a little.
You sick fuck.
I can't stop crying. This reminds me of that 19 year old girl in school with one lung, which happens to be filling with blood that doctors refuse to drain, no home, her brothers 3 kids, a back about to give out, 3 jobs, and the government refuses to help her aswell. Some radio station dude gave her 10 thousand out of his own pocket to help her. I wish good lives for people with all of this bad shit. What heroes they are for living despite the odds.
fuck the parents. allowing this child to live in such pain is child abuse
woah....dejavu
Poor kid.
Problem with these kinds of situations is if a doctor predicts a short life expectancy to a child, the parents, hopeful, will of course keep the child and do what they can. If the child dies, it finds peace before embarking on a life of hardship and pain. If it survives, it gives the parents even more hope. And by that time the parents will probably have bonded enough with the child to decide to not put it out of it's misery at all, despite it (possibly) being in pain. It's pretty understandable why these parents didn't choose to let him die in peace.
Just to clarify, he will not survive until the age he has to fit into society or decide to kill himself. The disease will kill him. And he is happy because not only does the morphine remove pain, it also makes him high. So even if he somehow managed to survive till kindergarten or more, his body would be damaged not only from illness but also from morphine. Sounds cruel but I don't see the point in him living really. Is it just to make parents happy? That's really selfish and sick imo. If I had a kid with this illness I most likely couldn't even play with him because it would tear my soul to see him like that + the fact that he will die soon anyways. It's just too depressing. Putting babies with such conditions should be legal and encouraged because while they're babies they don't really have that much of a perception for reality. If I was born like that I sure as hell would want to get killed, but probably not because I would be a baby who can't do logical thinking.
parents are selfish assholes for not putting this kid of his misery
what exactly are they supposed to do though, it's not like they can legally just kill him
it's difficult to watch, the bruises on his face are ghoulish.
The wounds combined with the baby's happy face really gives the video an uneasy and sort of sinister quality
How about "Grammar for Tripp?"
Someone's probably already made this point but... It's all well and good people in this thread saying "Why did they keep them alive?" And "Kill him", but there's the problem of who would take resposiblity for that. The parents certainly won't want to do that. Doctors are obliged to keep the child alive. There's more variables than "he's in pain so he shouldn't live"
So he can later die anyway while high on painkiller?
You seem to have the impression I agree with their choice. I don't. I clarified a possibility.
This may sound cruel but he should live as should others as an incentive for a cure to be created.
Put him out of his misery, jesus fucking christ
You seem to have the impression I agree with their choice. I don't. I clarified a possibility.
Okay, sorry about that. [editline]21st December 2011[/editline]
Put him out of his misery, jesus fucking christ
Illegal.
Man that really sucks. Just shows how lucky a lot of us really are.
As harsh as this sounds, I think it's unfair to keep him living.
Unsure how to word this the right way - This is fucking awful to happen to any living being, but they unfortunately won't do anything about it though, and you know it.
:vomit: Why would you keep it alive, I would have to live where if anything touches me with more than 1 pount of presure cuts my skin, and be blind.
Man that really sucks. Just shows how lucky a lot of us really are.
More like, how unlucky he is.
fuck the parents. allowing this child to live in such pain is child abuse
Sanius shitting in another thread? check Anyways, I feel really bad for him.
Wow, you're a fucking idiot.
Dark humor ^^^^^^^ everyone's heads If you didn't catch on to the "But seriously..." part, I was obviously being facetious in the first part of the post.
You sick fuck.
See above. I feel awful about the kid's condition, and it really does make me legitimately sad. Ever hear of a coping mechanism? Dark humor is mine. Didn't mean to offend, that's just how I deal with horrific stories like this. Jeez. ;_;
it's still fucking weird you would even say something like that oh well, you're banned anyway
Why the fuck does this shit happen.
