Police arrest a man for filming them during a raid, and then shoot his dog three times. Man official

The dog jumped at the cops because they were illegally arresting the dog's owner... Dogs have a instinct to protect their owners. While the dog was jumping at the cops, it was because the cops were doing something illegal. If the cops didn't illegally arrest the man, they wouldn't have killed the dog. It's sickening what these cops did.

I can't tell if this is supposed to be funny or you actually assume the dog understood the concept of illegality.
As much as the police are in the wrong here.
The dog did jump at the guy, and there is no way if they know the dog is actually friendly or not.
Now to get rated loads of dumbs for "hurdur, animal cruelty, cops randomly mowing down animals."
The police reached for the dog and the dog felt threatened. its the cops fault.

I personally find this model interesting.

Why is it interesting? It's pretty much the same as every other police force model in the first world.
4chan just leaked the cops phone, address and email on /b/.
Kind of a bad idea to grab a dogs collar if you're not the owner. Hell, sometimes my own dog bites me if I'm taking it off him. They're really defensive creatures.
How are people defending defending the police.
They made an illegal arrest and ended up killing someones pet due to it.
I hope they don't just say "herp derp we all make mistakes."
A weapon is a last resort, not something you fire off because your a moron and reach for the dogs collar whie roughing up thenowner

did you not read the thread or are you taking the sensationalist title at face value?
I read the thread and watched both videos.
I even detailed the unfolding events.
Ironic that you didnt even read my comment while claiming I havent been reading.
Imagine how awful that would be to watch your dog, whom you've probably raised from a puppy, get shot three times and bleed out and suffer on the ground in front of you. Imagine all of this but while being held by an officer. He couldn't do anything. I can't even imagine how terrible that would be. Awful for the bystanders, too.
-snip, people are going to get butthurt-
Are you suggesting three trained police officers' lives were at risk from one dog?
Um... yeah?
What in fuck's name gave them the lawful right to arrest him??
What in fuck's name gave them the lawful right to arrest him??
nothing because it wasn't an arrest
nothing because it wasn't an arrest
what were the cuffs for? not being sassy just wondering
detain for questioning.
nothing because it wasn't an arrest
Detain then??
but the dog was being aggressive, granted the arrest was stupid
That's nature. The dog was protecting his pack leader.
Um... yeah?
dogs are really strong
Detain then??
He was provoking and disruptive to an obviously tight situation
Um... yeah?
I dont get it, when a dog latches onto you like that, why dont you just pound on the fucking dog repeatedly on the head/nose/face area if you can still stand over it? you would be surprised how hard even you guys can hit if you are angry enough and do it enough time, most people just panic and scream. He even has a baton (Note; this is to this video above not the police one)
He was provoking and disruptive to an obviously tight situation
"Provoking and disruptive" by exercising his right to film these officers in a public space
So three officers had to shift focus from the situation to detain him and shoot his dog
How the fuck is this not misconduct

Shock, it makes common sense fly out the window

Are they sure it's the guy?
Last time they decided to go internet detectives they got a innocent arab kid killed after the boston bombings.
So they couldn't just tell him to leave, nah, they had to detain him
Yeah I don't buy it. They wanted to pressure him into deleting the video.
If that was the case then why didn't they detain the other people? Did you not read the thread, he came blasting music shouting out "why there no black cops" and swearing while he police are trying to calm an armed robbery. What was wrong or sad is the death of the dog not the person getting arrested/detained.
detain for questioning.
if they're cuffing you you're arrested, if you're detained for questioning you're arrested
if they're cuffing you you're arrested, if you're detained for questioning you're arrested
wrong. a detention is when you're being limited your freedoms i.e. you're not allowed to leave while the officers question you or you're placed in the patrol car for a limited time while the scene is being processed. an arrest is when you're taken down to the station, fingerprinted, id'd, and then placed in a jail awaiting a sentencing or a ticket or a fine.
you can be detained without being arrested.
