No.
how have we established that dog would've fucked him up
and also could all those cops really not restrain one dog?
You are employing all the cliche "anti-cop" arguments that everyone makes fun of, but instead you are applying it to a dog.
If he wasn't black he wouldn't have been arrested in the first place.
A kick would've done NOTHING but make it even more upset, and it would've put the officer at a great disadvantage if the dog decided to bite the leg. This shit takes less than a second, this isn't a turn based game, so get your armchair hindsight warrior shit out of here.
Then shoot it once, I'm absolutely certain being shot would scare a dog off/make it unable to fight, as opposed to firing off the majority of your magazine.

Besides for all the other black folk filming it

Maybe it was to send a message. Film us n we'll kill your damn dog ! That will teach em.

I don't understand why you keep suggesting things which boil down to "cause the dog pain and it'll run away!" even though they get shot down every time

Not all dogs would attack if they got kicked.

Yeah but like...hindsight and shit

Sure, because someone arguing against my point once with his own valid point is being "shot down every time".

Not all bombs succeed in going off when they get detonated
You still take them seriously
Let's all just stop with the debate. No one is going to win.

I think the thing we can all agree on is that he should at least have "finished" the dog instead of letting it twitch around suffering.
1. Taser and pepper spray are stupid against dogs
welp. that dog seemed like a badder motherfucker than the one in the newspost, he got tased and went back to his normal life. the one we have in question in this post instead got shot up as fuck because his owner was getting manhandled. maybe dogs should be tased after all.

No. If he had killed the dog, then obviously there would be no way the dog could be saved. Perhaps not shown, the police called an ambulance for a vetenarian's or whatever it's called for the dog to be saved.

I 100% guarantee that the dog in the video was 2 seconds away from being filled with lead if it wasnt for the other officer who was not being attacked

yeah, i could see that too, so? the dog isn't afraid of guns, it does find surprising finding a current of electricity running in his body out of nowhere though.
Land of the free my ass

An exception does not override the majority.

Until you live here try not to judge my country based on a few cases on the news that were taken out of a country of 313.9 million people thanks

Whats your point? That tasering a dog could be effective? No shit but its not practical
It died.

Shit, that ruined my night.
An exception does not override the majority.
It's like you just want the dog to be killed. Whatever.
Shit, that ruined my night.
Which makes it all the more worse that he just sat and gawked at it as it died.
Found the owner's number. I'm going to call him tomorrow and wish him well.
The officers are totally in the wrong here and this is why:
The owner had no knowledge that he was about to be arrested and dragged forcefully to the police car, so he did the reasonable thing and put the dog inside the car for a moment while he thought he was just going to have a conversation with the officers. He did not know he was doing anything wrong, because he - along with what seems like loads of people - were simply filming and staying well out of the area of the raid.
The officer's mistake was to instantly handcuff him and drag him to the police car, assumingly not explaining why which obviously made the owner of the dog nervous and resilient. Dogs are excellent at reading the body language of their owners, so when the owner is nervous, the dog is nervous too.
The dog, following its instincts jumped to the defense of the owner, and subsequently got shot.
This whole thing could have been avoided if the officers calmly approached the man, politely asked him to stop filming or to at least step back, and that would be the end of that. The man would have absolutely no reason to be nervous or confrontational, and this whole ordeal would have been avoided. It does not matter in the slightest that the dog jumped on the officer and therefore deserved to be shot, what matters is why the dog jumped in the first place. I feel like you guys are trying to oppose the 'fuck da polis' crowd so much, you attempt to justify poor decision-making by grasping at straws, just like the anti-police crowd does.
There are cases where officers handle situations professionally, and times where they are handled carelessly. This is one of those cases.
am I the only one who finds the second video suspicious

oh man cops, better stop in the middle of the intersection for a few, and then pull forward, take my dog out, and watch
