That's very optimistic of you. It's possible, but not plausible, and her policies are tangentially useful only as part of a larger effort to unfuck public education. At best.
It's one thing to introduce the idea of school choice, but if you aren't making schools any better then all you get is your choice of the flavor of your shit.

You must have missed her confirmation hearing. No, she's not qualified. She's likely the most unqualified trump pick next to Perry. Her policies are bad for schools.
On the bright side. At least our schools will be protected from grizzly bear attacks!
Boy I can't wait to see education quality get even more polarized in a nation where school quality varies wildly. Best start preparing for a future where you need to send your children to paid private school if you want them to get a competitive education. Devos will favor for-profit education to create as much a divide between public and private schools as possible in order to drive those with money to paying. The poor will learn in squalor and acceptance rates into university will favor those from for-profit schools. Primary education will become a financial drain akin to university, and upwards financial mobility will suffer in a country where so much of your financial outlook depends on your level of education.
BUT HEY, LIKE PANTZ MASTER SEZ, U GET SKOOL CHOICE! YEAAAA :downs:
This is bait. Don't fall for it.

I don't think anyone's really going to enjoy your trolling
And if you are sincere, then it's too bad you tossed your brain away when you got super anti "filthy leftist"
If posting my contrary opinion is considered "bait" or "trolling" then what is the point of discussing this news? It will just be an echo chamber.

So when Amway get involved in government politics thanks to her husband I do hope this was worth it. Showing us "lefties". Maybe when Devos gets done there won't be any leftists because education will be dead.

Then how about you show, demonstrate why she's apt?
So far your trolling by stating it with no reasoning
hopefully she'll keep common core as part of the Burn the US to the ground policy.

A stupid country is a compliant country.
I feel like I'm living in a goddamn dystopian teen novel.
well i guess those supposedly "likable" dudes like McCain can go fuck themselves then
Like she's bad.
You say she's great.
Explain that.
I don't believe you can.

You're just trying to find an excuse to not have to justify your terrible views.
She wears a nice suit.
She paid $200 million for the role she deserves it! /s
Supporting Trump's cabinet pick is considered trolling? I think not. I think school choice will be a good thing for students.
She supports charter schools which consistently outperform public schools on testing.
She isn't beholden to teachers unions.
She supports charter schools which consistently outperform public schools on testing.

thats it? thats all why you support her?
why are teacher unions a bad thing?
I'm getting ready to just learn a new language and move somewhere that's not fucked politically, it's not even that devos got appointed that's the problem, it's the fact that people will defend it.
She supports charter schools which consistently outperform public schools on testing.

Why not work to fix the public education system? Why not work to improve public education so everyone can get a good education and not just those with enough luck to get into a charter school?
why are teacher unions a bad thing?
Because unions force schools to pay teachers properly is my guess.
Teachers unions can be good things but like any union they need to be held to particular standards to not take advantage of the system they're trying to serve.
But me having that opinion and also supporting effective charter schools doesn't make me qualified to be secretary of education lmao.
Maybe if I paid the republican party $200 mil.

She supports charter schools which consistently outperform public schools on testing. [CITATION NEEDED]
I'm a trump supporter and even I agree that DeVos is dumber than a box of rocks.

Oh yay two reasons.
Not good enough. Why is she qualified?
What about her total lack of experience qualifies her.
I hope you mindlessly support all Trump policies. Then, when the writing is on the wall, you can yell purge the lefty filth all you want but it won't matter, the damage will have been done by people like Devos
Because people like you let them

I don't support all of Trump's policies.

Okay but what is there to make me think that her blatant ethics conflicts won't lead her to run the school system into the ground for personal gain?
I don't support all of Trump's policies.
Aaaaand dodged pretty much all his questions. Nice.
I don't support all of Trump's policies.
So when backed into a corner, you run away.
At least you admitted it.

For any claims that charter schools offer better education.
So basically its a moot point.
