Probably for the best, given the age of some of these people they might drop dead. Also, good to see that the smoke is actually clear this time. These guys think they're God?[/QUOTE] The belief as I understand it is that god chooses the pope through the cardinals, which is why no one has ever rejected it after being elected pope. Although they do apparently go into a room and cry (its actually called the "room of tears") once they suddenly realise the responsibilities..
