If they're going to go with a pipeline, odds are the path wouldn't be too different from this:

Oh look my car just became a lawn ornament, yay gas futures
Oh look my car just became a lawn ornament, yay gas futures
We have alot of gas in reserve.
We can spare some gas and still be able to have enough for ourselves to use.

Natural gas. Not petroleum gas.

True as this may be, I will be unsurprised when corporations use it as an excuse to raise prices anyways
Natural gas. Not petroleum gas.
Doh, I'll take your boxes then. I still won't be surprised when they raise the price anyways though

Even then, a spill would make the BP spill look like a coffee stain in terms of environmental impact.
i wish obama cared about the us's gas as much as their gas.
Even then, a spill would make the BP spill look like a coffee stain in terms of environmental impact.
I thought this was for gas
Even then, a spill would make the BP spill look like a coffee stain in terms of environmental impact.
[del] On top of that ocean currents would carry it everywhere in no time. [/del]
Sorry, bad reading on my part. (Natural gas not petroleum}
Even then, a spill would make the BP spill look like a coffee stain in terms of environmental impact.
This is natural gas, not petroleum "gas." Natural gas is literally a gas.
I thought this was for gas
They'd transport crude. Not refined gas.
They'd transport crude. Not refined gas.
what
natural gas and crude oil -> gasoline are two different things bro. Natural gas is like stove burny gassy gas
Only if you win and your country isn't used as a battlefield. I doubt Russia wouldn't get it's land wrecked in a war with NATO.
Europe was completely wrecked after WW2, both European Allies and Axis had their economy fucked because their industries and infrastructures got wrecked. The US was pretty much the only one to get out with a strong economy from WW2 because their mainland, where all their industry is, remained intact, the reason Europe recovered fast was because of stuff like the "Marshall Plan" where the US helped the reconstruction of Europe and the creation of organizations like the "European Coal and Steel Community".
That's why I said "has the capability to" instead of "Will", and referred to it as 'taking a gamble'.

1. Produce electric cars in-house

This is the other kind of gas. This kind http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_gas

Expect that Electric cars still need energy, and that they aren't that friendly to the nature how they are produced
I can't believe how many people in this thread don't know that Gasoline/Petrol that goes in a car is not the same as Natural Gas.
Exactly, and there have to be pretty massive reservoirs for storing the gas that arrives.
The idea is unreal, it requires too much money, time and effort to be put into it: new ships, new docks, new reservoirs, new crews, a steady schedule of delivery.
All I'm reading in this post is "job creation, job creation, job creation"
Probably because Americans call the liquid petroleum "gas".
And apparently none of them have ever watched King of the Hill.

Isn't that really not very plausible though? The distance from Iceland to Europe is a lot of water and it'd probably fuck up ships somehow. Please correct me if I'm wrong because I'm not really an expert on the matter.
Build one-way unmanned solar electric airships that use enormous volumes of natural gas for flight. They can be deflated and shipped back on boats.

Fuck off, car trade-in program, you touch my jeep and I'll kill you.
Your jeep is killing you.
Then I die a happy jeep owner.

It won't do anything to shipping because the pipes will be underwater, not floating on top.

I'll die a happy Bronco owner before I give it up for something akin to a prius :v:

But would you give it up for a Tesla? I know I would
But would you give it up for a Tesla? I know I would
If Tesla made an offroad oriented vehicle I'd consider it, but I use mine for too much stuff that a car simply isn't practical for.

I like my manual transmission too much.

Not exactly offroad, but they have announced an SUV i think

Not really a fan of the doors, especially since the front ones are normal, but okay, it's still pretty cool
And inside:

Wasn't the doors designed to be able to open easily even with other cars parked close together. I'd sacrifice some looks for that
