Personally, I'm just going to play it on my Xbox when it comes out and get the PC version when it comes out (which it most likely will). Whining and complaining about it doesn't make me want to play it more.
As a PC elitist, this is the sort of thing you have to endure. Deal with it.
yeah if you dont want to buy a console youre a pc elitist
Why is everyone making a big fuss over Rockstar not releasing to PC on launch. That's their thing, release to console and port once they actually get the port ready to go. I'd rather they make sure the PC release will be good then have them release same night as console.
People have a right to complain if they're going to have to wait another year for the game they were hyped about. Not everyone has a console you know, so lots of people i'm sure are pretty fucking disappointed that they're not going to be able to join in on the fun on the release date.
I get that, but I don't reckon that it will be THAT long of a wait. I usually never play games on release anyway. The thing I'm annoyed about is the absolute ostracizing and shunning of Rockstar, acting as if they've done something horribly wrong even though they're doing the same thing they've always done.
As a PC elitist, this is the sort of thing you have to endure. Deal with it.
Then I am keeping my money and rockstar can keep their stinking game.
except their pc port is usually not good even when it's released a year after
Who is saying that's even going to take that long to release the port? The Max Payne and LA Noire ports turned out fine, and GTA V is going to be on the same engine. What makes you think that Rockstar is going to make it shit again?
except their pc port is usually not good even when it's released a year after
Max Payne's port was great. So if the same people who ported Max Payne do it for GTA V, it'll be worth the wait.
I'm not really surprised. Sucks, but what else is there to say. And getting it for the PS3 isn't an option. Ever since I've played GTAIV on PC, the PS3 version looked like garbage and GTAV on consoles inevitably also will.
yeah if you dont want to buy a console youre a pc elitist
You can see the difference in attitude between a person who just doesn't own a console and a PC elitist. He and everyone else is just complaining because a game isn't being released on their favorite console, and they sound just as ridiculous as any Sony or Microsoft fanboys would.
Calm down guys, they're trolling us again. They'll release it on PC if they want this franchise to survive to see the next release.
Don't lie, they'll be getting your money and you know it.
They won't be getting mine until there's a PC release. I don't have a console to play it on and I cannot afford to buy a console, then buy a TV, solely for one measly game. As much as I like the GTA franchise, I haven't missed a single title since GTA III, V will be a no-buy until there's a PC release simply because I can't justify buying the hardware to play it on console...and if I could I'd be replacing my aging PC anyway.
I'm more surprised that in the year 2012, people still don't have a 360 or PS3. I own a fairly good PC and it is my system of choice for gaming, but I also keep around a PS3 for exclusives and blu-ray. I'm pretty sure most people can find an Xbox online for around 150$ or less now. It sucks, but I don't think this is a surprise to anyone. Were people really expecting a PC launch alongside consoles? Rockstar hasn't done that in quite awhile. We can't even count MP3.
No problems here, I'll just get it for my 360.
Then I am keeping my money and rockstar can keep their stinking game.
Instantly thought of this:

That's why I don't have one, and I'm hardly the only gamer that only has the budget for one system and chose PC for whatever reason.
I'd also like to add as a personal note: I've always felt the GTA experience to be that of a console game. I'm preparing for a lot of dumbs here, but it just feels more natural to me to play it laid back in a recliner on a nice TV with a controller in hand vs at a desk on a monitor with keyboard/mouse. I have played all the GTAs and still feel the same. I replayed GTA 4 twice, once on PC, once on PS3, and I believe I enjoyed it more on my PS3. The game doesn't release for another 6 months+ which I'd say is more than adequate time to begin saving up. Is that a perfect solution? No, not really. But the alternative is waiting another 8 months following release to hear word of the PC port. Bitching online isn't going to expedite the development of it.

I've had a lot of fun with GTA IV Episodes multiplayer on PS3 with a mate of mine so will probably get V on PS3 first and PC if and when it comes out. I really hope there is a well ported PC version with moddable goodness. Lately I'm playing a lot of SA-MP and MTA:SA and it's amazing what those teams have done to the game

I would rather just play it on my PC with better graphics, mods and plug in a controller. It would work even better, especially because of Steam's Big Picture mode.

GTA V is being made by Rockstar North, responsible for GTA IV and the never-released-for-pc Red Dead Redemption, but Rockstar North didn't even port GTA IV themselves- they got Rockstar Toronto to port it for them. As far as we can tell, there has yet to be a good port of a game developed mainly by Rockstar North using their RAGE engine.

Plus they already confirmed it would be on PC when they said that crews from Max Payne 3 would carry over into GTA 5.
Sucks but idk people are surprised. It'll probably come out a year after or whatever but anyone saying fuck Rockstar and talking shit about them are idiots. They seriously are one of the few companies who continuously make AMAZING games.
It's fine, I'll wait until 2025 so my PC will be able to emulate an Xbox 360.

I did so on that same budget using third, forth hand parts...even a garbage picked high-end CRT monitor. Buying a console today is cheap, yes. But I'd need to buy a TV as well, as I don't have one in my room. Odd, I know, but I don't. So buying a 360 and TV = buying a new computer, and with my computer being so far out of date(I'm using a Socket 939 AMD dual core, just to give you a rough idea) guess where my money's gonna go if I decide to spend it on gaming hardware...
Plus they already confirmed it would be on PC when they said that crews from Max Payne 3 would carry over into GTA 5.
source?
It will surely come out on PC. No matter when. It's fuckin Grand Theft Auto. Why wouldn't they release it for PC ? That would be a waste of money. I'm still disappointed for RDR not released on PC though.

I can't wait to play it on my incredibly outdated 7 year old hunk of shit of a console that turns the room into sauna while struggling to produce 720p. Shame it isn't going to be released on a newer console such as the WiiU.
