Eh, seems fair I guess...
incoming valve fanboy shitstorm [sp]steam does the same thing[/sp]
Yes except I happen to like the fact that thus far steam has been the only digital distribution program I've needed on my computer.
As long as I can play it through Steam as non-steam game it will be fine with me.
I'd hate this less if Origin's ToS didn't have this bullshit in it: 5.
incoming valve fanboy shitstorm [sp]steam does the same thing[/sp]
From what I understand Steam doesn't require me to use Origin.
The reason I don't like Origin is because I don't want to have more then one Download manager. I already have 159 games on Steam, splitting it up would just be annoying. And having some friends on Steam and some on Origin. And for everyone saying Valve is greedy: Valve only puts the prices on their own games, they don't put the prices on other developers/publishers games. So blame the developers/publishers for the prices and not Valve.
Man, some of you guys are so fucked in the head. You guys are obsessed fuck.
Is there anyone on this planet that actually wants (or needs) another digital download service? I mean we were doing fine with Steam. Origin will just be a third wheel. Unless EA actually does something cool for once.
I hate how they refer the games as entitlements. It sounds properly shifty. I think I'll give it a month after it's out before I make my mind up about buying it, see what everyone else's experiences with origin ect. are like.
incoming valve fanboy shitstorm [sp]steam does the same thing[/sp]
[sp]no, they don't.[/sp]
EADM tries to install itself on every start up on my PC. Fucking annoying.
thats been argued and it's a moot point however, meller yeller is right, they reactivate it anyways so who gives a fuck
Note where they say it may be cancelled for non-use. They don't just re-activate it, they could delete it.
I don't care if it uses Orgin or not aslong as i can play the game.
EADM tries to install itself on every start up on my PC. Fucking annoying.
So install it? Or remove it completely, don't be so lazy.
This is all such a ridiculous arguement, either like it, deal with it or get the fuck out. Simple, if you want to play BF3 you have to put up with what some may consider the slight inconvenience of Origin, big whoop, if you can play BF3 on your rig you don't need to worry about the small amount of CPU power it takes up anyway. As for the 2 year nonsense, if you don't play on your account for 2 years it obviously wasn't that important to you in the first place.
I don't care if it uses Orgin or not aslong as i can play the game.
Ding ding ding ding ding, winner here!
Oh well, I just bought it. Not to happy about paying tax for digital goods.
So install it? Or remove it completely, don't be so lazy.
I had it before I reformatted, It's because I own Sims 3. Even if I install it asks me to sign up to this and that. I can't remove that from start up either, it is because I have Sims installed.
If it is required to play I am not going to buy for PC. I know Steam does the same thing but it is far superior than Origin so I don't mind. I don't mind having to run steam in order to play games because I barely notice it. Plus its a easy way to organize my games rather than shortcuts in a folder or on the desktop. I'll get it for my PS3 and will save my PC upgrade money for another game. I'd honestly rather it be standalone if anything even if that does mean shoddy update service. BF2 did okay that way.
It's not even a competition yet, because it's just for EA games so far. And it's not that bad anyways, but it won't be a huge competition for steam at all.

I loved Battlelog in the Alpha, gadly use origin because of it.
I miss the old days where you could just go to a store, buy a game, install it from disk, and have all the shit you need at the main menu of game without installing any additional programs. Back then it was just so simple. That's what I liked about WON so much back in the day. Nowadays it seems everything is based on requiring the internet, even if it's just for singleplayer, instead of it only requiring the game to have access to internet (multiplayer). Not saying steam is shit or anything, but I think the road we're heading down doesn't look too good for the future. Like Ubisoft requiring a permanent internet connection and stuff, all that bullshit.
Eh I'm getting it for a console anyways, so no loss for me.
hello i'm a steam fanboy and i want the pc to become like a console where there's only one way to get games
I've no problem with non-steam distributors. After all, I'm a frequent patron of GOG.com. But the problem with origin is thus: do you REALLY want to trust EA with your games? EA is one of those publishers famous for unscrupulous practice and stifling creativity.
good job at taking it completely out of context do you want a blowjob courtesy of www.volgagirls.com?
Yes I would, because I was obviously not making a pun.
i'm serious, 8.50 for a premium russian import, Svetlana needs some company
no monies. too broke to afford a $2 $ale of the century.
