• Microsoft Kills the Zune

I had a Zune, but returned it because I wanted $200 instead. I lost my job like 4 days later. I wish I hadn't returned it. :frown:
The main problem with the Zune is simply Microsoft not trying hard enough. I didn't want to buy an iTouch since I actually listen to lots of music and I hated my last iPod so I picked up a 120GB Zune and I've loved it for a couple years now. Randomly died on me once but I got a free replacement from Microsoft.
I hope not
I have a 120 GB Zune and I love it.
I got my 30gb for $60 from Dealxtreme or whatever. They do the same thing an Ipod does but cheaper. WHY
Okay jesus what's with the Zune 120 gigs, it's 600 dollars what
YOu can't buy them new anymore, you can buy good quality used on ebay for ~$120 [editline]16th March 2011[/editline] I personally loved my zune when I had it. I plan on getting a zune 120 sometime soon because my phone doesn't have enough space for all my music.
Okay jesus what's with the Zune 120 gigs, it's 600 dollars what
I own one! I bought mine on clearance at Target for $160. Looks like it just went up in price. :v:

Yeah, I bought my 120 GB for like $400 before a trip to Japan. It's the perfect media player; never had a problem with it. They look quite sexy, too.
I've always wanted one. Even though I have an iPod Touch (gift) and an iPhone.
I have the Zune 8GB. One of the first ones they made I guess. It's a good MP3 player, but videos..not so much. The screen is tiny and I'd rather use my PSP for that. Pictures, same thing. My PSP does better. The difference with the PSP and Zune for music though, I have so much room taken by pictures/videos/games/saves on my PSP, that the Zune still survives as my MP3 player. Only barely.
To be honest I would have chosen an iPod nano over my Zune HD if it was still the previous generation model (with the built-in camera and all), but the new nanos kind of suck.

Microsoft should stick with computers, Apple should stick with ipods.
I have a ZuneHD, but a few months ago I bought a Samsung Focus Windows Phone 7, and it does literally everything the ZuneHD does. Plus it's a phone and has tons more apps, not to mention the built in speaker (for speakerphone). I haven't noticed a difference in sound quality (I plug it into my car auxillary w/ 11" subwoofer).
I only like the Zune because of its fonts.
[img_thumb]http://images.askmen.com/entertainment/gadget/1255631731_creative-zen-x-fi2_1.jpg[/img_thumb] No love? :(
thank god they ditched those horrible buttons from the first x-fi models. i'm pretty sure i have permanent calluses from those buttons do zens support gapless playback yet? mine didn't and that pissed me off as well.
Meh, after my 4th iPod I switched to a zune and it produced better quality sound, it's way sturdier and the user interface gives me more options about how I want to synch my music. Haven't once thought about wanting to switch back.
For some reason I was expecting this to happen one day.
For some reason I was expecting this to happen one day.
...it's just a false rumor, did you even look at the OP?
...it's just a false rumor, did you even look at the OP?
Yes, I was just talking out of my ass for some reason. Sorry.
They would've done better if they tried. It's liked they released it and forgot about it and never looked back.
Did they ever actually release it out of the US?
Did they ever actually release it out of the US?
I think Canada or the UK are the only other countries that received the Zune or at least the Zune service.
Did they ever actually release it out of the US?
Great fucking marketing Microsoft. Keep up the good work.
I fucking love my Zune, everything about it is better than any iPod I've ever handled.
I remember watching an ad with the Zune HD on youtube some years ago, thinking I would love to own such a device, since it's prices cheaper than Apple products, but still of Grade A quality. Then I learned it was for North America only. Sucks to be in Denmark then...
I had a Zune 8, until it got stolen. But I got a Zune HD as soon as I could and it's pretty great. I almost got an iPod touch for apps to waste time with, but decided a straight up media player would be better. Aesthetics finally won me over, the brushed steel (?) back on the Zune looks great.
