Did y'all forget about that guy in san francisco who is a multiple rapist, and was deported 5 times? I know that a handful of people don't represent an entire group, but stop pretending it doesn't happen.
Kill all people then, because a good portion of them are total scumbags. It's the only way to be safe.
From what I'm reading, of the 11.2 million illegal immigrants in the US, 820,000 are considered to be criminal. That's 7.5 percent of the illegal immigrants.

And the report they cite: http://www.migrationpolicy.org/research/understanding-potential-impact-executive-action-immigration-enforcement
The problem with statistics about this is that it's very hard to find what you're actually looking for. In this case, we're talking about illegal Mexican immigrants. That's around 52% of all illegal immigrants in the U.S IIRC. It's also probably fairly safe to assume that people who just overstay their visas are likely not going to be part of the problem here, even if they are technically illegal immigrants. That cuts it down by another 50% (just going off broad statistics for all illegal immigrants here, but it probably holds fairly true for Mexican immigrants.)
Now we're at about 2.25 million illegal Mexican immigrants that aren't just people overtstaying their visas. How many of those people are criminals? Hard to say, it's very hard to narrow in on it these numbers, but in general from my own research it does seem like there are enough stats to be backing the claim that this is a legitimate problem.

And legal citizens neeeever have problems like that, right?
Fun fact: Being a complete scumbag is entirely independent of your citizenship status. Of course there are going to be violent criminals who are illegal immigrants. There are millions of people who illegally immigrate every year! Statistically it's pretty much impossible for there not to be bad eggs amongst a sample size that large. But the simple fact that they're illegal immigrants does not automatically make them violent criminals, thieves, rapists or murderers. You might as well say that the stark majority of LGBTQ people are violent criminals, or that most women are violent criminals. It would be just as stupid and just as prejudiced.
Singling out Arabic or Mexican immigrants as being "more prone to committing crimes" is just plain and simple racism. That quote about Mexicans coming across the border to "rape white women"? or something? That's racism. Have there been people of Mexican descent who crossed the border and proceeded to be rapists? Of course there have. But being a rapist is unrelated to being both Mexican and an immigrant.
Just drop it, already. Illegal immigration is an issue all of its own and does not relate to other crimes. Bringing up the reports of immigrants who rape, assault or murder people is just a way of demonising an entire group of people.
Cmon Ona, actually read my posts. I didn't dismiss his research, I just pointed out some problems with it (i.e. that it is talking about ALL illegal immigrants.) I posted a report literally a few posts up. I'm not saying people illegally immigrating aren't people, and I'm not saying "deport them all."
Half of your posts are just strawman arguments. Stop implying I'm some sort of monster and justifying it by saying "I'm not trying to start a fight."

Perhaps I'm just misunderstanding your posts, then. And I actually missed that link you posted, you have my apologies there.
I'm simply sick of people trying to justify literal racism by bringing up catch-all generalisations. I'll admit I tend to get a bit hot-headed on this sort of stuff, although I suspect I'm not getting the message you're trying to put forward. Whether the problem is with your presentation or my interpretation, I couldn't say. But I'll redact my quote towards to regardless.

Literally every bigot or racist in a nutshell.

with this same logic, I can dismiss any trump supporter who gets attacked because, after all, their stereotype didn't come from nowhere, right?
its a flawed way of thinking
My point was never that he was "definitely going to follow through with all the horrible things he said". It was simply that it's pretty gross and hypocritical to act "saddened" by his campaign policies inspiring hate speech... When his campaign policies basically were hate speech.
I doubt we'll see gay marriage overturned (and I doubt even more that actually managing to overturn it would result in anything less than outright chaos) and I don't think he's planning to actually deport millions pf people. Firstly because that's fucking crazy. And secondly because if it was that easy to deport people, somebody else would have already done it. Hell, I don't even think he'll manage to get that stupid wall idea done. Do you honestly think the supreme court would let Trump burn literal billions of dollars and years of work on what basically amounts to a monument towards intolerance? Hateful or not, doing that just isn't efficient in this day and age.
But regardless of all that, regardless of what Trump goes back on. Hell, regardless of if he somehow turns out to be a great president (which I seriously, seriously doubt will happen) the fact of the matter is that all of this horrible shit was part of his presidential campaign.
And yet here he is, after whipping up all the extreme-right dickwads into a hateful frenzy towards their fellow humans, after appealing to all the old, angry bigots who think gay people are "evil", after letting all the racist white fucks in the country feel vindicated by ragging on ethnic minority groups... He's now turning around and saying he's "saddened" by all the hate speech? Yeah, I ain't buying it. I mean, I can even understand the vague argument of "he only did it to show America how embarrassing a huge portion of its populace is" but at this point, the whole stupid stunt just reeks of PR, like I said. And I don't believe a damn word of it.
Tell you what, if Trump somehow manages to become an amazingly progressive president who actively improves the livelihood of all those people he effectively terrified into fleeing the country with his presidential campaign. Then I'll write the big orange bastard a personal, heartfelt letter of apology. But until that day happens, I'm going to maintain that he's a twisting, wheedling, untrustworthy, hypocritical maniac and his presence in a position of power is something that the American public should be keeping very, very close tabs on.
"Racist white fucks"
If you worked on your vocabulary when talking about such people, they might be more open to your viewpoint. Saying shit like that is incredibly polarizing for no reason, and it's DEFINITELY not helping you get through to any "racist white fucks".

if by "misunderstanding" you mean "not reading", then yes.
If 7.5% of a certain population are committing crimes, not gonna lie, that's a big fucking problem. I'm not for mass deportation, and don't really consider illegal immigration a problem on the whole (if a lot more came, that would be different), but 7.5% is still an enormous amount.
