Ha, there's a drought in Texas and its been raining heavily for the past three days where I live. It rained so much that the streets turned to rivers at some parts!

oh oh here's one :
looks like they're all dried up on work
:rimshot:
I live in Texas, quite near the Dallas / metroplex area in fact, and am not experiencing anything near a drought. In fact, our burn ban was just lifted for shit-loads of rain. I dunno what the fuck they're on about.

Not sure about America, but in Australia you can only used Recycled water to water your lawn/garden, and even then only at certain times.
Everyone's stupid. There's water everywhere in the ocean there's noting wrong with it. Remember how the poem goes, "Water Water everywhere so let's all have a drink"
Surprised how many people missed the reference.

You drink ocean water? Have fun with your nerve disorders.
Well I can declare there is no drought in houston.
I live in Texas. We get this shit every summer. Don't worry it'll pass.
Vote late 4thelulz.
Can't they pump in salt water, and show people how to boil off the salt? (Well, boil the water, collect steam, w/e).

I'm impressed. It's relevant especially to me, because I lived in Austin until a year ago. Now I live in Florida. I know there are other Texan Facepunchers, so I'd like to know what they're experiencing. It sounds pretty awful.
It sucks, My dad said to go water the lawn, so I did and BAM! One day later a freaking fine!
Ironic, I live in Texas and its rained almost every day this week.
That's not ironic at all.
In texas? Keep looking.
We're just as hygienic as any other state.
I think it depends more on race.........and you know what Texas is like :p
But yeah, it fucking sucks here. The temperature hits about 106 everyday.
I live in El Paso too, but I don't know anything about restrictions on watering lawns :D, mainly cuz I have rocks, har har har.
and im sitting up here surrounded by the great lakes....
Me too...it's nice...though I dunno if I would actually would drink from them...
I'm surprised more places don't do this. I grew up with a community well and watering lawns was strictly forbidden at any time, the first few times you were heavily fined and after that you were cut off because you were threatening everyone's water supply.
How does one illegally water his lawn?
Happened in England a few years ago (I think it was called the holes pipe ban). When there is little water, people are encouraged (and forced) not to water their lawn or garden in order to save water, so there is more to drink.
I hope they dehydrate and secede to somewhere with more water.

Considering I live in Arizona I can probaly say the same assep for we auctually have natrual occuring water XD. Also if you Texians are going to cry just drink your fricking oil.
I also love how people complain about no rain when it's in the middle of the fucking monsoon season. It's rained in AZ almost all week now...
Don't worry. Texas will have rain in January next year 2010
totalitarian
Can't they just pump up desalinated water from their coastline all the way to the drought affected areas? Well they should have desalination plants since the state is pretty damn dry.

My mom said they just had some rain in Beaumont(about 2 hours east of Houston on the Texas Louisiana border, right on the coast). Some big fat rain it sounded like, but only lasted a few minutes. :argh: summer showers.
