Looks like the media is trying to create another Trayvon story - Teen dies after being tasered

cops are way too eager to use tasers.
Well obviously we're getting conflicting reports from the media.
thats.. not a conflicting report?
and good job MR-X nowhere does it say he "charged police" you just made that shit up to contribute to your shit OP where you make a joke of the death of an 18 year old kid, and now people like the ever-reasonable Paul McCartney can go around saying it was justified because he "charged" police
Are you legit saying what gives the cops authority to be cops.
Yes I am saying what gives the cops the right to assault someone over an offense that is less dangerous than j walking?
Because cops should be able to assess on their own whether or not to chase after a perpetrator and whether the situation calls for excessive force.
In this case it wasn't worth it to the extent they went to arrest a teen for a very minor crime that would of likely had little consequence. Instead the kid payed with his life.
When you run from police, even when you didn't do anything, you gave them reason to be suspicious of you. Running from the police just makes things worse.

Because he ran

Letting kids off easy for vandalism is not going to do anything other than encourage crime. The cop is not the judge. It is his duty to enforce the law. If he sees a kid vandalizing property, it's his job to take appropriate action. The kid chose to run. He put himself in danger.

When you commit a crime, you're taken to the station, booked and such.
If he runs from that, he is chased.
It's not a hard concept.
Yes I am saying what gives the cops the right to assault someone over an offense that is less dangerous than j walking?
When you run from the police while they're booking you, they have the right to.
Because he ran
So if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear?
thats.. not a conflicting report?
Yes it is. It doesn't mention anything about him being pinned up against a wall. All it says is that they tased him when he didn't stop.

omission of detail isn't conflict
So if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear?
If you did nothing wrong, you shouldn't run when the police show up.
the police didn't include "high fiving" in their report either but according to eyewitnesses that happened too

hahahaha have you ever encountered police irl
im incredibly angry at this dumb thread
there was no reason to connect it to trayvon except to get views for your stupid thread, and the hypocrisy of talking shit about "the media" while the op himself projects his completely non-expert opinion makes it a laugh
if you really think graffiti justifies taser use then that only illustrates how utterly ridiculous conceptions about tasers are in the united states, taser use can constitute grievous bodily harm as this story illustrates
barbarism truly must begin at home

zimmerman wasn't even a fucking cop i mean seriously and he DID intend to kill martin
here we have a cop that DIDN'T intend to kill anyone
the only thing that connects these articles is the fact that a person belonging to an ethnic minority died and tbh that's really just racist if that's all you're connecting the two based on
Electronic Control Device (ECD). The De
partment approved ECD is the “X26 Taser.”

[1.3.9a]

a)
The subject is not in the physical control of the officer yet posses a threat;
b)
The officer, based on objective reasonableness, perceives an imminent threat of
physical force against himself, other persons
, property or self-inflicted injury;
c)
An animal poses an immediate threat to the officer or another person.

the cop had absolutely no reason to use the taser, broke protocol doing so, and like i said earlier, was too eager to use it.
Because it's escalating the situation. The police have a duty to not just fight crime, but to protect the general public as well.
If someone is tagging a building and then runs off, the crime has been stopped. If the police have no reason to believe that person is a danger to anything other than the building's paint job, they shouldn't necessarily give chase. This is more obviously the case with car chases, which many departments have phased out entirely, but foot chases can lead to injuries as well. The suspect could get hurt (or killed, as we see now), an officer could get hurt, or an innocent bystander could get hurt. Police should never be acting in a manner that puts more people in harm's way than would otherwise be there if they didn't act that way.
oh gee so if I beat up some guy and the cops come and I run away, they shouldn't chase me because the crime has been stopped?
Or what if he's wrecking cars on a street, should cops not chase him when he runs away? vandalizing is more serious than you make it out to be

this also isnt like the zimmerman case because its not at all ambiguous as to what happened here. the big problem with the zimmerman case was that we have no idea what happened so we were left to fill in the blanks ourselves. in this case we know it's entirely unjustified. there's no controversy to be had; a person looking with their eyes at the story knows exactly what happened.
what i dont like is that the news is making him out to be some innocent artist like its perfectly fine. it doesnt justify fucking assault and manslaughter but vandalizing a business with no actual message isnt something to be praised.

spraying spraypaint isnt the same as assault and battery thanks. destroying cars with whatever weapon he uses and assaulting a person puts people in danger; using paint does not.
Vandalism is a crime still.
Check yourself before you wreck yourself.

yeh man tagging a building is totally the same thing as beating somebody's ass or smashing up cars.
the issue isnt that they chased him, the issue is that they used a taser to stop hernandez when when they absolutley should have not done so, and it resulted in the death of an 18 year old boy
if this is a tragedy then what the hell is a bus full of kids exploding?
a tragedy?
This was no tragedy, it was simply shitty luck and a bad bad day for his family and friends (Really only a tragedy for THEM). But the media will play it huge
Vandalism is a crime still.

somehow i dont think youd say the same about snowden and manning
yet they committed what are considered in the us far more serious crimes
if this is a tragedy then what the fuck is a bus full of kids exploding?
a tragedy?
It's not in the USA so we shouldn't have to care is the logic that a lot americans use.
if this is a tragedy then what the fuck is a bus full of kids exploding?

what are you doing
somehow i dont think youd say the same about snowden and manning

And they should have checked themselves and stayed anonymous instead of seeking glory in the Snowden part, and Manning was too trusting.
It's not in the USA so we shouldn't have to care is the logic that a lot americans use.
well then screw those americans
what are you doing
now realizing I shouldn't quote that post specifically because it would then thereby sound dumb/bad
well then screw those americans
And not reported on unless were directly involved.

the unnecessary loss of life is always a tragedy

idk man i'd say a police officer ignoring standard operating procedure and using unwarrented excessive force that resulted in the death of somebody is a trajedy
It's not in the USA so we shouldn't have to care is the logic that a lot americans use.
You've interacted with a number of Americans so small that it probably couldn't even be quantified as a real percentage. Leave your generalizations out of this thread pls

"the kid ends up making a charge for one of the officers. One officer uses the taser on Israel, "
taser is very much not excessive force, especially for that
he didn't shoot the kid for running off Jesus Christ
