I have a better sound to use.

At the Nanaimo Aquatic Centre in Nanaimo, B.C., the device was installed to clear crowds of teens blocking the front door: When the gaggle gets too thick, staff simply hit them with a five-minute burst from the Mosquito.

Or how about stop being such an awkward fearful twat of an adult and ask them to move first
Dont they know this wont work? You need to constantly play Safety Dance to ward people off.
What that song would just attract larger crowds
If I were a vandal, a device like this would only provide more motivation to vandalize the school.
Gonna constantly play annoying sounds? Here's a fucking rock through the window.
I want one.
My old elementary school has these things. Just casually walking past it was a pain in the ass
So what happens when they shoot them with high-power pellet guns?
The Deaf Arsonist is immune to your technology.
I remember these things.. they didn't get rid of me so much as annoy me.. so you're going to put devices that irritate teens, who already have the idea of vandalism in mind, and cost $1000 in areas to cut down in destruction to property...
I can see this going tits up very quickly.
I'm not going to be affected by this decision, yet I am already wondering how many .22 hunting pellets one could take before it shut the fuck up.
If my municipality started putting these up I would start vandalizing them out of pure spite.
I remember a gas station that had one of these. Makes you want to off yourself ASAP.
I'm pretty sure constant high pitched noises is detrimental to your hearing...
Also, I have never vandalized anything in my life, but if my school decided to put these up I would go find them, and destroy them.
Sounds like something out of Brave New World, to a lesser degree. :v:

Gonna constantly play annoying sounds? clog a sink / urinal / toilet with instant cement
Ahah, you got to be an idiot to pay $1100 for that thing.
A $5 dollar MP3 player and a speaker does the exact same thing.
No thanks, I'll stick to the device I invented; a sound that kills.
so what happens to vandals who are over 25 years of age
oh, nothing
They used to have these everywhere in the UK a while back, the city centre McDonalds used to have it on all the time to stop people gathering outside the door. They're annoying as fuck, not to mention the sound travels really well so you can hear it down the bottom of the street.
Why are you so smart?
I rue the day that you step into an argument because no matter how right I am and how wrong you are I just know that I'm massively going to lose to you.
yeah Xenocide could probably argue on the side of hitler and win

Orange nunchucks? GREAT!
[sp]I know they are ear plugs they used to use them in my old shop class[/sp]
$1100 for a loudspeaker that plays a high pitched sound?
Never change, engineering.
They could always rick roll them.
I hate these infernal goddamn things. An old lady living in the neighbourhood I deliver mail in who is obsessed with keeping cats away from her lawn has one of these damn things.
It keeps the cats away, alright. It's also very efficient for pissing off mailmen.
Hey Ernie, why are you hanging those speakers everywhere?
It keeps the vandals away from sesame street, Bert.
I don't see any vandals in sesame street, Ernie.
Well that means it works!

Would this also work?
They have these around shops in the UK, they're quite painful and it's pretty odd that they just have them on in the day, some of my friends can't hear them at all and some find them really bad.
I just think it's strange that we have things to actually hurt kids as a pre-emptive measure in this day and age

Saying it's just annoying is an understatement in my opinion too
I think we share the same opinion, whenever I walk past aforementioned crazy-cat-lady-repellant-device I get a headache.
I think a CCTV camera with a cage over it would do better than these things.
So lets say the teen vandals hate the sound of this and break the device. How do the adults know if it's broken? (assume it's not visibly damaged)
isn't there a guy named mike lombardi who works at valve
I for one have had the good luck to have one of these installed in my park's public bathroom. Right next to the playground......
Wait, these things play constantly? Why the fuck? They should just buy an alarm or somthing to deter a vandal.
Oh wait that's a smart and affordable idea. School districts are too retarded to smartly spend their budget.
