Rest in peace.
:frown: This day is now shit...
He's a role model for everyone, not just exclusive to america. R.I.P. Winters.
I loved the book, and normally despise the US, but Mr. Winters went through a lot, with multiple losses in his unit. He deserves more than just a burial.

I'm gonna cry. After I first watched Band of Brothers, I read up on some of the things this guy did. He's the embodiment of war heroics. A lot of his tactics are often taught at military academies. It hurts to see him go. R.I.P. an American Hero [editline]12th January 2011[/editline] Thread music:
I bet his name was made fun of in school.
They all were. I'm surprised he would say something like that, because the Matilda was pretty much out of wide-spread use before the USA even entered the war. Even in the time it was in service, it was actually a fairly decent tank (superior armour, it's only drawback being the inability to upgrade it's armament) - it wasn't called 'Queen of Desert' for nothing.
Its other drawback was it blew up so badly that unprotected troops or anyone inside was dead. The Sherman was at least easily patched up and repaired.
Who would of thought that weed master found this funny...
And to think if he had died in one of those aircraft over Normandy, barely anyone would care about who he was.
