Trump used Obama inauguration image as cover for @POTUS twitter

no offense lord M but your english isn't perfect and you very, very often miss the nuances of sarcasm entirely, then blame anyone who asks for being idiots if they don't get it right away. you'll find people are probably going to be more receptive if you stop antagonizing them at every turn for not understanding your crap attempts at irony
I thought it was just a generic American pride photo, didn't think it had anything to do with Trump's inauguration. But this is 2017 now, and every single breath Trump takes will be getting a news article for at least the coming months.
Fine, let's assume it was just a generic American pride photo.
You couldn't even take one from your own presidency? You had to steal one from your predecessor who you ragged on endlessly?

Trump's inauguration had drab cloudy weather with light rain. Obama's was nice and sunny, and had optimal lighting conditions for shots like the one that was in the @POTUS page before.
Making a big deal out of nothing. There are legitimate criticisms to be made against Trump and this petty shit is so awkward to witness. It's a /pol/ thread level of content.
It's just funny how Trump used a photo from Obama's inauguration when he seems dead set on ripping out any of the progress that Obama made.
also it all depends on the camera settings and the post-processing afterwards
here's a different comparison of 2009 v 2017

I did some funny OC using this yesterday :vs:

No it's not.
I was mocking those medias with an agenda who have had deceptive angles and views of crowds when reporting, making them look larger. Only a fool would believe it was not sarcasm.
Oh haha hey guys I was talking ironically all the time srsly I didn't get it wrong haha
Is there a time stamped version of the image of trump's inauguration? The biggest excuse I'm hearing from people atm is that it was taken early when people were still gathering.
I was mocking those medias with an agenda who have had deceptive angles and views of crowds when reporting, making them look larger. Only a fool would believe it was not sarcasm.
Lol it's two different photos taken many years apart, how DARE they miss the angle, zoom and distance by 2-3%
There are numbers.
Can we stop arguing about pictures?

http://www.dailydot.com/layer8/donald-trump-inauguration-crowd-size/
All that said, according to Dan Gross, the deputy communications director for New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, Trump's crowd size is estimated at around 250,000. That's lower than George W. Bush's crowd in 2001, which was estimated at around 300,000.
Can't really say this is a big thing. As stated above, it was raining, blocking protestors, and also,
It was 2009. It's 2017 now. I'm sure the turnout was a lot larger because a lot more people have better tech now, it's easier to watch it online or on TV.
Just another one of those "here's a tiny detail we're going to blow up and sensationalize to try and make trump look worse"

The second image was at least two hours before the inauguration began.

I can't tell you when that image was taken, but definitely not two hours before - your video link clearly shows only two sections being half-filled whereas three more rows are filled to some extent in the picture you quoted.
What are you trying to accomplish?
Edit:
Wait, it's actually very easy to see what you're trying to accomplish:

Maybe you should find yourself a new source of news.
Are people seriously forgetting it was raining that day or not? :v:
Rain wouldn't affect thousands of people attending or not. People coming out of state would have planned this trip weeks ahead of time, far ahead of weather predicaments. You wouldn't plan and travel all the way to DC just to miss the event you were going to due to light drizzle.
It's not as if it was thunderstorms. It was just some light drizzle and that didn't even fall during the whole time.

I dunno man keep hypothesizing on my motives, you'll figure it out.
Inaugural turnout numbers:
Barack Obama, 2013: 1 million
Barack Obama, 2009: 1.8 million (generally considered a record for people on the National Mall)
George W. Bush, 2005: 400,000
George W. Bush, 2001: 300,000
Bill Clinton, 1997: 250,000
Bill Clinton, 1993: 800,000
George H.W. Bush, 1989: 300,000
Ronald Reagan, 1985: 140,000 tickets sold, but record cold moved the swearing-in ceremony indoors
Ronald Reagan, 1981: 10,000, according to the New York Times. This was the first year the ceremony was performed on the west side of the Capitol.
Obama is a special case. To put this into perspective, DC's population is around 670k-700k. 90% of the DC's people who voted are democrats.
George W Bush's re-inauguration comparison:

I haven't found any turnout numbers for Trump's inauguration.

Come on now, I watched it on the same channel and I've never even heard about it, just typed in "trump inauguration live youtube" or something like that in google and this was in the first results in the videos tab.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/KLERkWy.png[/t]
A lot of youtube channels were broadcasting the official feed without any commentary, there was no difference between watching it on the BBC News channel or some other blatantly pro-Trump channel.

For me it was quite a ways down - sure, maybe I should give him some more leeway, but so should he with questioning everyone's motives (especially when he's blatantly wrong). I checked before I posted, if it had been the first, second or third or whatever, I wouldn't have posted it. If he totally doesn't watch that channel, I'll say I'm sorry for making assumptions.
What the fuck does it matter how many people turned out? The popularity contest part of the campaign is over. We have livestreams and social media technology now that makes it completely unnecessary to physically attend any event like this.
Comparing numbers and photos like this is just pointless nitpickery IMO.

I believe it's to highlight that Trump isn't particularly popular at the moment no matter how people portray it. He's outright ignoring the fact the has about a 40% approval rating, which is worrying. He doesn't seem capable of taking fair criticism.

Personally I think it's more about sticking it to his ego basically.

the point of the photos and numbers is to show that nobody likes trump, especially considering how big the difference is.
you don't need to be a sociologist to figure this out

obama's inauguration says hi
The hilariously pathetic turn-out has got to be to blame for the damage control I'm seeing all over social media. You've never seen conservatives try so hard to not look sad in your lives. That goes ditto for the renewed aggression on forums like this one. Maybe they're thinking "If we act as smug and as insufferable as possible, people will think we're not stupid!"
Can someone provide a screencap of Trump's twitter with Obama's inauguration crowd? I don't see any proof here whatsoever.

It's the top image in the OP's article, though it has been weirdly desaturated for some reason. Original image was much more vivid.

to maybe some photos i've seen but definitely not the bottom in the quote.
edit: like i understand the turnout was lower than even bush jr's (from what i've read) but there's a little misinfo going on. even at the expense of a good laugh.
