My bet's on Parkinson's Disease.
I'm pretty sure we can eliminate Alcohol Abuse, being drunk, or alcohol induced disorders. If he had an alcohol issue he wouldn't have started slurring during only the END of his speech.
My bet is on Stroke. He collapsed, got back up, didn't feel anything wrong (obviously) and then he started slurring and losing muscle coordination. Sounds like a stroke to me.
i think thats stupid how no one helped bill nye and continued texting on their twitter and the such
fucking faggots

It wasn't the audiences job, it was the people working there that should have done something, but...they didn't. Blame them

I bet he had a stroke
If the audience tried to do something he probably would have died. It's better to do nothing when you have no idea what you're doing.
One of the crew or at least the MC should have like called an ambulance though. Which they probably did.
Oh gosh no. Bill is too awesome and has taught me too much about science to go so soon. D:
Bill Nye can't leave us now.

Running up to someone that's collapsed and feeling for his/her pulse is not going to kill them :colbert:
definitely a stroke
If he was having a stroke, I doubt he could have finished his speech coherently.

he didnt' though
he didnt' though
He still made the speech, and people understood. He was only slurring. That was somewhere on the articles....
No because even if he died he could still do that.
Not if he's cremated
Stroke?
"Nobody went to his aid at the very beginning when he first collapsed -- that just perplexed me beyond reason," USC senior Alastair Fairbanks said. "Instead, I saw students texting and updating their Twitter statuses. It was just all a very bizarre evening."
Obviously its lupus.
But seriously...fuck. I remember watching this dude all the time when I was younger. I hope he'll be ok.
Bill nye the collapse guy!
My vote is for Stroke...
I hope he doesn't die
he needs the help of science to get through this
He's scheduled to come and give a speech at my school in January. :ohdear:
On one hand, I want to see him, and I hope he's well enough to come, but on the other, I fear for his health if he does.
Oh fuck, Bill Nye was my hero as a little kid...Is he alright? Didn't see anything else other than just exaustion...underlying problem maybe?
That's awful. Bill Nye will find a solution, though.
