The tube + parachute will add too much to the cost. The inaccuracy of the parachute drop will also limit the usefulness. The taco copter makes far more sense conceptually for a food delivery service. All that said, while food tends to have fairly narrow profit margins, I feel like other products might benefit from this sort of delivery service. Something a little more pricey, so the cost of the tube will be negligible percentage-wise.
I think a hexacopter which lowers it's payload in a disposable container via electric crane would probably be the most optimal means of delivery. Getting 2-5 servings from a good restaurant without anyone having to personally drive to your house would be amazing. If it could be programmed right, it could lower the meal to within reach of a specific balcony, allowing for efficient gas-free delivery in urban environments. This is all banking on drastic improvements in flight AI and technology within the next decade though, of course. Then again, a sudden gust of wind or unpredictable air pressure system could cause your meal to become a hot, tasty bomb.
